I was my boarding schools Chrismas party. It was awesome until my friend Ally introduced me to her. Sabrina Taylor. The unbeliever. In horses, that is. Im an equestrian, and everyone knows that I would rather die of a bad fall than of old age. Of course, if I die of old age that would give me più time to ride, but I'll be old and unable to.

"Hey Ally" I detto walking up to my friend.

"Hey Lea.". He grinned back. "This is my friend Sabrina. Sabrina Lea." We shook hands. She looked me up and down and frowned.

"I have heard your name before, te were on some knd of event." She tapped her chin. I felt pride swelling in my chest that she remembered my name.

"Yeah, I'm on the Equestrian team." I beamed. She frowned, looked away and took a sip of her drink. "What?"

"Well, horse riding isn't a real sport. The horse does all the work." She detto flatly. Pride was replaced with shock, then with anger. "I remember actually once we had to write a persuasive essay on allowing gum o something in school, so I took the idea and wrote a letter to some guy on the Olympic board on how horse riding isn't a sport."

"Escuse me?" I detto coldly.

"Oh no." I heard Ally whisper.

"Horse riding ISNT a SPORT?!?!" I almost yelled. Some people looked at us.

"Oh, shush, its just some hobby." Sabrina waved her hand.

"Think te can do it?" I challenged. Something about this girl told me she wouldn't back down from a challenge.

"Is that a challenge?" she asked over the edge of her glass.

"possibly"

"Than I accept. I'll see te at the fienile, granaio tomorrow at, say, ten."She turned to walk away.

"No. Horse riding is a demanding sport. I'll see te at the stables at seven." I walked away before she could protest. It was so ON.

successivo giorno at Seven ten.

Sabrina appeared at the fienile, granaio door in front of me.

"Your late." I tried to hide a smirk.

"What ever."Sabrina waved her hand and followed me inside.

"So, you'll be riding agrifoglio today. She's pretty smooth, being a lesson horse and all." I called over my shoulder as I walked to the tack room.

"So were is she?" Sabrina asked looking around.

"In her stall. We have to get her tack first." I opened the door and ushered her inside. She looked around, wrinkling her nose.

"Why does it smell in here?"

"Because it does." I went through the racks till I found Hollys saddle, and waved Sabrina over.

"That's her saddle, pick it up." She did as she was told. When the saddle slid of the rack, Sabrina huffed and slid her arms più securly oroand it. I danced around, picking up Hollys bridle, blankets, girth, and Running Martingale, pilling them all on superiore, in alto of the saddle.

"Why aren't te holding anything?" Sabrina groaned.

"You detto te could do it." I turned and led her all the way to Hollys stable. She looked at us blankly and munched on some hay. Sabrina caught up with me. "Okay, now tack her up." Sabrina looked at me, the tack in her arms, and back to me.

"I don't know how to. te have to take lessons to know that. I just detto I could ride because it's so easy." She rolled her eyes.

"Well, tacking up is a part of riding." I sighed as I took the tack from her and tacked agrifoglio up. Some time later, we were standing in the middle of the arena.

"Okay, now get on.". I instructed. Sabrina walked to her side and I giggled.

"What!" She snapped.

"Nothing, Ive just been doing it for so long that I forgot some people don't know that te alwase mount on the left side." I grinned as she walked around and mounted. Unfortunately she knew that te use the left foot for the left side. THAT would have been funny to see.

"Okay, now walk her out to the bacheca and go around the arena." I stepped back. Sabrina nudged agrifoglio with her knee, but agrifoglio didn't move. Sabrina did it again. Nothing. Again, and agrifoglio finally moved.

After there warm up laps, and Sabrina almost ran agrifoglio into a wall, I told her to do a posting trot. I thought I saw confusion flash in her eyes, but she kicked agrifoglio and she responded da picking up her pace into a trot. Sabrina bounced in to saddle. She had no leg control, no correct diagonal, and no idea what she was doing. I almost laughed.

"Now canter." I shouted. Confusion flashed again in her eyes, but this time I could have sworn she had fear in there as well. Sabrina kicked Holly, but she kept posting, so agrifoglio didn't do anything exept keep going. After five ties, I got bored.

"In order to canter te have to stop posting and squeeze with your calfs." I announced. Sabrina shot me a dirty look but did. agrifoglio cantered. Sabrina held on tight with the reins and didn't follow o look up, so agrifoglio stopped cantering and walked, then stopped altogether.

"No!" Sabrina yelled. "Canter, te stupid horse!" she kicked agrifoglio hard. agrifoglio neighed, tossed her head like she was going to rear, but backed up. Sabrina took a sharp intake of breath and leaned down. I laughed. Sabrina glared at me.

"What's so funny." She was trying to look intimidating, but she couldn't.

"You! te say horse riding is easy and anyone can do it, yet te have no idea what your doing!" Sabrina dismounted, left agrifoglio standing there and stormed out of the arena. I giggled the hole time I untacked agrifoglio and the rest of the day.
