a black cat with white paws, stripes, and a white tail tip wailed at me as i opened my eyes. i was in a forest that was on fire. i tried to get up, but i couldn't. when i tried to speak, i couldn't do that either. i just watched helplessly as Gatti fled a whole in a bacheca of gorse. the heat of the fuoco becoming più and più realistic. suddenly i felt myself being pulled and pushed. the cat's were trying to save me! suddenly they fled as i saw myself catch on fire. i tried to scream but all of the air had been captured da the roaring flames that were consuming me. i went limp for a few seconds...
