Why is Ethan in NBC if his parents werent?

Ethan is the son of the two characters in The Corpse Bride and he appears in NBC on numerous occasions. Whenever we see him we do not see his parents. I would like to know why he is without supervision. I mean he could push someone into that acid bath o cut off their head. lol... I'm not really too concerned but I just wanna know why we dont see his parents.

Corpse Bride has nothing to do with Nightmare Before Christmas. It is a whole different movie. Ethan DOES have parents and te missed them. He is the zombie son of the zombie parents.

Here is what I found : Corpse Family - A family of zombies. Corpse Dad, Corpse Mom, and Corpse Kid. According to The Nightmare Before Natale Trading Card Game, Corpse Dad is named "Ned," Corpse Mom is named "Bertha," and Corpse Kid is named "Ethan." Corpse Kid would often be seen in the company of Mummy and Withered Winged Demon. Corpse Kid also appears in Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge where he would ask domande to Jack. Ethan and Bertha are voiced da Debi Durst while Ned is voiced da Kerry Katz.
