In each book, the hero chooses the heroine immediately as their love interest and spends the intial part of the book moving the relationship forward extremely quickly.  The Rock Chicks respond to this intense courtship by trying to first deny and then slow down the relationship, with universally little success.  In the meantime, the heroines are in signifcant danger, and the heroes spend much of the book trying to both protect their love interest while sorting out the underlyng problem to end the danger.  Part way through the book, the women admit their love for the hero, but the romantic arc continues as the couple learns to deal with underlying issues and settle into their relationship.  Through it all, the main couple is surrounded by friends and family who both care and interfere.
