1.) Delena have been my otp for years now, but I remember how shocked some of you were lmao.
2.) Let me reiterate that I still absolutely love and adore Brucas & Jeyton [and I still prefer Brucas > Leyton] that hasn't changed and won't ever change, also I'm not sure where exactly LP lands on my actual list - I've been too lazy to go and try to resort everything - on the last list I did, Jeyton are #9 and I know for sure Leyton isn't just sliding into their spot, I have some epic ships in my top 20 and I don't believe LP will make the top 20, but I also don't know where to relocate Jeyton to and UGHHH!
3.) I don't know that Brooke not being my favorite OTH character is really all that shocking, but maybe the fact that Nathan is my #1 is? Don't get me wrong, always loved him ofc ♥ but I think people tend to forget/overlook just how much I love him! He's my #7 male ♥ In comparison I have Brooke, Haley, Peyton at #16, 17 & 18 respectively.
4.) When I first watched Lost, I fucking hated Jack & Kate - Sawyer & Kate, I knew going in that I shipped them and so I didn't give Jate a chance, I went along with hating them because that's what I saw a lot of Skate fans doing. In getting to know some really cool Jate fans on Fanpop, it made me give them a second look and when I did my first rewatch I started to enjoy them. By the time I got to my third rewatch, I loved them so much that I can't even fathom how I ever hated them!
5.) When the show first started I got swept up in the Team Damon Vs Team Stefan, as well as Delena Vs Stelena arguments, but as the show went on - especially in seasons 5-8 - I came to really love Stefan and he makes my Top 5 TVD characters now!
6.) I went back and forth on the idea of Klaroline during the height of their story [s3-5] I could see why people liked them, but I didn't think I really did. Then there were certain moments, like "He's your first love, I intend to be your last..." & the sex scene, that had me thinking "...maybe?" But my love of Steroline always won out. I still love Steroline, they're still my favorite ship for one another, but seeing all of Klaus & Caroline's scenes on the final season of The Originals made me like them and it disappointed me that Caroline couldn't be happy with him. I will always love Steroline, but Caroline is an immortal being... is she just supposed to spend eternity without another great love??
7.) Celine! lmao I feel like this pick is a plethora of options for you, but you're probably blinking at the screen right now questioning if this is real... Yes, yes it is. Look, I stopped hating Stefan/Elena quite a while ago, definitely before the show ever ended - partially because I knew they would never be a thing again, sorry SE shippers! Also partially because I came to love Stefan so much and I've always loved my baby, Elena, so I just couldn't hate them anymore. *shrugs* But the lowkey liking them has been more recent... idk, there's always been a few scenes that I liked/thought were cute. When Stefan first gives Elena her necklace and Elena gets all tangled in her sweater = adorable ♥ Their first dance in 1x12 ♥ Elena teasing him at the cabin, pretending she can't invite him in ♥ I've just started to appreciate their relationship more. I won't go as far as saying I ship them... but close enough I guess?!
8.) I don't remember how much I talked about it, but Steve & Peggy were my first favorite Marvel ship that I really got into. {Always liked Pepper & Tony, but wasn't super passionate like I was with Steggy.} I knew about the Stucky ship but just hadn't really seen what others were seeing... LMFAO OH HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED! The first time I saw Civil War I just... *MIND = BLOWN!* I fell for the idea of them SO FUCKING HARD. It was like, "holy shit they should be together, wtf how did I miss this? UNTIL THE END OF THE LINE!!" Everything just shifted and the obsession hasn't let up since.
9.) Derek was my boo for a hot minute, I'm pretty sure there was at least a little shocked reaction when Steve took his place. [Also, I've readjusted my male *and female* list a bit and Derek isn't #2 anymore :o]
10.) Honestly, I'm not even sure that Brooke WAS my #1 female right before Elena took over... but I can't remember who it was, maybe Caroline? I'm just not sure so I went with Brookie Cookie since she was my ultimate female for so long ♥
I also never knew Nathan was your favorite OTH character! I always thought it was Haley or Brooke.

And yes guys, Nathan is my favorite OTH character. I think because I tend to fangirl about my female characters [in general, not just oth] more, it's easy to not really notice how much I love certain guys - aside from the obvious ones like Steve, Sawyer, Derek & Damon.
Did you watch any of The Originals? Especially season 5?? Because it really softened me on Klaus/Caroline. And like I said, Steroline will always be my favorite Caroline ship AND Stefan ship, I just kinda feel sad that Caroline is basically relegated to being single for... who knows how long.
You say "not Klaus" and that's fine, but who else is there aside from some random unknown?? Stefan is obviously dead, Tyler is dead. Matt is a human. No chemistry with Alaric. I just wanted to see her be happy again, The Originals is most likely the last time we got to see Caroline </3 and it was made obvious she had real feelings for Klaus...
Those are pretty shocking I suppose :D
But this so much for me because I think that besides Ines and me, everyone is anti-Klaroline here sooo yeah :p
I don’t know why I keep being so set on the whole Holly-Brucas thing. I don’t even ship Brucas at all :p
It’s probably because one of my earliest fanpop memories was the whole Leyton vs Brucas war. And then you had the Naley people, like me, who were kinda Switzerland. (But let’s be honest, we all took sides anyways :p)
So I was obviously team Leyton bc I prefer the couple, but I also preferred the people on the team. And it’s easy to get dragged into the drama and think that everyone on the other team is ‘bad’, but then there are those few rare gems like Holly who you can’t help but love <333 So yeah out of all the LPF people, Holly is the one I’ve known the longest, and I guess that’s mainly bc of Brucas? I wished for YEARS that she would love Naley & Leyton as much as I do, it really seemed impossible at the time. And now that it’s happened, I’m confused as hell! Lmao. My brain somehow refuses to accept the truth, I don’t know what’s happening..
So.. when Holly declared that her OTP had been changed to Delena (which you all know is my nemesis when it comes to couples :p), I was like: “Oh god noooo! Anything but this!!” DEFINITELY the moment that has made most impact on me, so that’s why I’m picking it. But that moment was also kind of a lesson to me bc it’s cool to see that even if you have some of the COMPLETE opposite opinions on things with someone, you can still put your differences aside & manage to respect that person & be great friends. And that something I’ve deffo learned from my friendship with Holly <3. Heck, to this day she remains the one person that I’ve ever made or will ever make DE fan art for ;p
Even though I’m not complaining that lately you do seem to become more like me! Lmao. Naley, Leyton, Stefan, Steve,... and OMG STELENA WHAT?!?! I know you could never ship them but this is the next best thing! WOW I LOVE IT <33 I wish I could say the same on my part, but Julie Plec has screwed with us SE fans too much for that to happen, I’m sorry :/
