I mean queers discriminating against other queers.

I'm asking because I really haven't seen any of that discrimination, but I've heard about it. I've heard it said several times that some members of the LGBTQ community are even more judgmental than many straights. I think there was even a pick on this spot asking about gays discriminating against bisexuals. So, have any of you witnessed anything like that?

Maybe because I don't know what queers are. I'm a part of the LGBT but I'm not really delving deeper into the various types of sexuality. Plus, English isn't my native language. :(

A few people I know say that gay men are lesser than straight men, or that lesbians are lesser than straight women, these two views coming from a lesbian and the other from a gay man...I just...what? Wait? HUH? Where the-?HOW the-WHATTEHFUDGE?!?!? At the few people who are like this, where the hell did you come up with this? Are you saying you discriminate against people, and then turn around and demand 'Equality for All?'

It's messed up even more than a child being eaten by a bear and then burped back up after a day...it's so nonsensical I don't really know how to say anything back to the few people like this. I haven't seen any of this sort of activity on fanpop, but Facebook, Youtube, and DeviantART I have seen it. It's horribly amazing and leaves me stunned trying to figure it out, because there is no logical reason to do that...

It sounds like they're hypocrites. (I think that's how you spell it.)

Discrimination? Seriously? What the hell has gotten into people! It shouldn't matter what sexuality you are. It should matter what's in the inside! Damn...this is really upsetting! I can't believe other homosexuals are judging other homosexuals. This is so fucking mess up!

Usually involving bisexuals. Like, "being bisexual is non-existent, you're just confused." Or "they get around a lot." etc. etc. This goes on within the LGBTQ community as well as out- not as much in LGBTQ, but it's still there.

I noticed a lot in the LGBT community that if you say your Bisexual or Pansexual they flip shit. Especially, if you say Pansexual because they swear up and down that's exactly like Bisexuality but just a fancier word. I think people who discriminate against bisexuals and pansexuals can't accept the concept that its possible to like more than one sex. I think to them its either one gender or the other, which isn't true. I mean who are we to judge? Everyone is different from their skin tone, to race, language even to their sexual preference.

Bisexuality: Being attractive to two or more genders.
Pansexuality: EVERY gender. Nonbinary and Binary.

Not frequently, but I have noticed quite a few different examples in which it's happened:

When a monosexual person (only attracted to one gender) does not accept an orientation that involves being attracted to more than one gender (bisexual, pansexual, polysexual), normally involving the monosexual person to claim that they need to "pick a side" or "make up their mind".

The difference between bisexuality and pansexuality, as mentioned already.

The denial of asexuality.

Transphobia is something I have unfortunately witnessed in the community before.

The denial of non-binary genders; the problems people have regarding pansexuality may be linked to this.

These problems don't exist solely in the LGBT community, but they are there, and there's something especially disheartening about this kind of behaviour coming from other people who are not accepted enough themselves.

Mostly against bisexuals and aces. I hear a lot of 'you can't be bi, you have to pick one' or 'you're not bi, you're gay and you're just afraid to admit it.'

And I'm an asexual and have been very actively gatekeeped. Like I can't even count the number of times I've heard 'aces are just straights in disguise'. Heteromantic aces are basically excluded entirely. The 'A' in the acronym is often thought to be 'ally' and not 'asexual'. Tbh there was a point where I didn't feel welcomed in the community at all and actually felt like straight people were more accepting of it.
