Have we learnt about the statue with four toes yet??? because if they dont answer it i will be really disappointed:D

It's an Agyptian goddess, Taweret - goddess of childbirth and fertility. Although I think that the body shape suggests a male god. To me it looks like a mixture of Anubis' (god of the afterlife) and Taweret's head (hippopotamus). Anyway, the series' producer confirmed that it's Taweret. What an Agyptian goddess statue the size of the colossus of Rhodes is doing on an island on the other side of the world, is likeley to be another mystery. Maybe there is a relation to the pregnancy problem. To me it seems, that the statue has been there for hundreds of centuries, however. Which means, that this island had been inhabited since antiquity. So hypothetically, luring ships/planes etc. to the island and stealing their children may as well be some sort of survival tactics for the island population. o maybe not.

I'm pretty sure now...that the Statue is of the Egyptian God Horus.

It clearly showed the Ankh in hand. Which is the symbol for Eternal life. Which Jacob and also Richard seem to have. I have a feeling Jacob was an explorer of some sort who might have found the Ankh and received its powers.
