So your best friend likes the same guy well i say te just tell her what's going on and tell her where te stand. Just tell her that if he (the guy) ever asks one of te out te have to respect her that te will fight for him and not afraid to get ugly. But not ugly enough to ruin your friendship but just enough to mostra him your and american BADASS and your not afraid to get dirty if te have to. Just tell her that if he asked her out you'd be happy for her even though te wouldn't. Also tell her that if he asked te out of course you'd say yes but you'd want her to be happy for te too! Even if it does kill te a little on the inside.

Another question.....that is oh so cliche. I've been in the same situation. It isn't too fun. I've also been in the opposite position as well....liking my best guy friend. Truly an awkward predicament.
Since te don't like him in that way, my consigli would be to set him straight. Just explain that te still want to be friends, but nothing more. te don't see him in that way. Just remember not to flirt with him o lead him on. Granted, your guy friend my be embarrassed o offended that te don't like him back....
