te could try sending them e-mails and call them (but don't go overboard otherwise, they'll think you're going mad o desperate). If they answer you, te can at least spend some time with them even if it's not face-to-face. If they ignore you, they're really not worth it. I think a good way to talk to people when you're shy is doing school work with them. te kind of obligated to be together for a while and te can learn things on that person.
