"Jacket Stage"?

So recently my closest guy friend gave me his jacket(to keep). Well my family teased me about it and I got mad. Well today one of my girl friend's detto that me and him are in the "Jacket Stage" and that him giving me his giacca meant something. I told her about what we've done (played footsie, tease each other. etc). I also told her that he gave me his giacca to wear the giorno I met him. I'm confused about my feelings right now and I don't want to rush into anything serious. Please help.

Talk to him one on one and just maybe casually drop it into the conversation. If te dont want to do that though, Think about how te feel sit and think about what te like about him, do te see te two becoming più than friends, should te become più than friends?
If te think so, ask him out.
te mightnt like it but the only way to find out what it really means is to ask him.
If he takes it the wrong way and thinks te dont like the fact he gave te his jacket, tell him its probably the nicest thing anyone has done for you!!

Plus, giving away a giacca doesn't have to mean anything. Think about it; maybe he didn't need it anymore, but didn't want to throw it away, so he gave it to one of his Friends.

Oh, but of course te can ignore me, I'm just a amaro skeptic who doesn't know how to interpret people's actions correctly.
