What te could do is act independent and confident, as if te don't need him to be happy (which te don't). Be nice to him, without making him feel pressured. te have the right to mostra him that te like him and that te liked it when te went out together. mostra him what he'll get when he chooses to go out with te again, namely a great girl that will contribute to his life, rather than a clingy chick that needs him to fulfill her own. Make his Friends like you, so it'll be easier for him to accept that he likes you.
When te think he's had enough time to think, but he doesn't have an answer yet, ask him, in a way that can be interpreted as either slightly joking o serious, what's taking him so long, o if he has an answer yet o something along those lines.
