I thought I'd enter this round too ;] It's quite short, but hey! I hope this will get più entries coming in too! =D
Flack was sitting at his scrivania, reception just about ready to pack up for the giorno when Danny walked in with a slightly frustrated expression on his face. Flack, however, was too amused da what he saw in Danny’s hands that he had to get in a sarcastic commento before he imploded.
‘Thanks, honey. But I’m più of a tulipano guy.’
‘You’re hilarious. These aren’t for you, they’re for Lindsay.’
Flack was now a little confused, wondering why Danny would be here when he should be with his wife on their first anniversary. Lucy was being looked after da her godfather just so Danny and Lindsay can spend some time together. When the image of Mac and his nights made even più sleepless da having Lucy crying all night came to Flack’s mind, a laugh erupted unbidden in his throat. Naturally, Danny thought he was laughing at his expense.
‘Look, I, uh, need your help with the whole rose thing and seeing as your some kind of Casanova around here, I figured you’d know the...well, the meaning of the roses. I don’t want Linds banishing me to the divano when I don’t even know what I’ve done wrong.’
That was another funny mental image, and this time Flack was laughing at Danny.
‘OK buddy, let’s see what te got there...’
Danny handed the rose to Flack so he could have a better look at them, and his impatience became clear as Flack took his time inspecting the roses.
‘What te apologising for?’
‘What? Nothing.’
‘You got her 15 roses...you only get a girl 15 rose if you’re apologising for something. Stick to 12; it’s always a sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza bet.’
‘OK, is that it?’
‘No.’
‘No? What do te mean ‘no’? Don, come on, you’re killing me here!’
His impatience caused Flack to smirk, knowing himself that apart from the number, the rose were fine.
‘I thought red was fine?’
‘Yeah, buddy, it’s fine.’
‘Don! Damnit! te could’ve just detto that...I’m going to be late, we got to go to dinner...’
‘Ah, that explains the pinguino suit.’
‘Do I look alright?’
‘You look fine! Now give me the three surplus rose and get the hell out of here o te really will be late.’
‘OK...thanks Flack.’
‘Anytime.’
Flack’s smirk turned into a genuine smile as he watched his friend leave, so nervous te would have thought he was going on a first date, not celebrating his first anniversary. He was glad his friend was happy with Lindsay, and wished he could experience that again.

my thoughts
my mind
is me
the fake smile
pasted on my face
is not what I feel
my fake joy
my fake assurance
I feel dead inside
cuts on my arm
ooze
but they don't
let out my
feelings
I have fake excuses
Today the fake
becomes real
Today I become me
Today i hide nothing
Today I die
Today I end my life
