Yes, the multi camera sitcom "Mad Love" reminds in the first minuti clearly of "How I Met Your Mother". It also takes place in New York and there is a narrative. In this case it's a main character who tells the Amore story of his best friend. Ben and Kate get to know each other in the pilot, just like Ted and Robin did, and also many of the scenes play in a bar.
But the characters still have specific features which captivate me:
On the one hand, is there Ben who plays a normal type who is immediately likeable. His intentions are correct, even if he should have break up with Erin first, before he meets Kate. He fights for what's important to him and te can see that little Jim Levenstein has grown up. I'm lucky for him, because the chemistry between him and Sarah Chalke is absolutely right! They convince as a couple and I'm curious about how their story goes on, because I would like to see them go their way together.
There is also Larry and Connie in which I see a lot of potential. Larry is a really cool type who knows exactly what he wants and has no problem to say it, too. His friendship to Ben is sacred to him and he tries everything to see his friend happy, even if this means that he must deal with Connie. She is rather strange, but she has a certain charisma which pulls te in her spell. She is a person who places no value on others' opinions and would also like the luck of her best friend, Kate. The first meeting of Larry and Connie was simply very entertaining and te knew directly that the both will have the blind data with each other. I've been glad that her mutual aversion has also moved furthermore through the episode. I liked them, because they deliver marvelous exchanges. I hope that this remains furthermore so we receive many discrepancies, because only with luck a mostra becomes quickly dull.
The sitcom is very entertaining and offers many nice moments which te can enjoy and lean back. It's a typical sitcom which contains a lot of jokes, but is still concentrated on the essentials, in this case the Amore between Ben and Kate and the hatred between Larry and Connie.
Two contrasts have been created, which are quite promising, because as Friends everyone has to get along with each other.
Basically "Mad Love" is an other sitcom about Amore and friendship. In my opinion that's not a bad thing, because they are mostly entertaining and in this case the mostra even consists of a really great cast! We all have probably well laughed at Jason Biggs in "American Pie". I enjoyed Sarah Chalke in "Scrubs" as crazy Elliot and Judy Greer is known to me da many films.
In really short time I've already closed the characters in my cuore and I would absolutely like to know how it goes on. I will sure switch on again and I hope that the series does not develop to the clone of "How I Met Your Mother", because te can never superiore, in alto the original.
