What color is Max's hair?

It changes from blonde in the first to sandy in the secondo to blonde in the third then to brown again in the fifth. What color is it really?

I think brown becasue in the fifth book Max and Angel were talking about if she was attractive. And Max was like, "Yeah. Brown on brown." meaning her eyes and hair. So that is just my guess.

I understand it changing. My hair does the same. In summer, its mostly blond with a little brown. But, in the winter its almost all dark brown, no highlights.
