It was season 6 Mr. Monk is on The Run. Monk was being framed da Sherriff Rollins, and after Monk's arraignment he was being taken off to prison. Monk found a way to get out of the furgone, van and was on the run as a fugitive. He made his way to Natalie's, but if he was caught he would go to jail for sure. He went back to Angel (where the 6 fingered man was killed) and looked around for più clues. He figured out it was Rollins so he called Stott. Stott needed to do più digging on Rollins and needed più time to do that. So to stop Monk from being caught, the devised a plan to have him fake his death. Only Stott and Monk were in on it. On pt 2, after everyone knows Monk has been 'shot', Natalie is distraught and starts to try and plan the funeral. Stott is still digging on Rollins. Natalie is packing some of Monk's things at his apartment and the moving guy says something about a man in Sparks, Nevada solving crimes that seem unsolvable. There's an articolo in the paper, and Natalie reads it. She goes to Stott, turns out Monk is still alive, living in Sparks under the name Leland Rodriguez. (haha) Natalie is furious with the captian because she thought Monk was dead. Stott tells her not to go to him but she does anyway. Rollins follows her. Whe she finds Monk, she is so relieved that he is alive only to find out that she led Rollins right to Monk's hiding place. Monk and Natalie get out of the car wash(where Monk was working at the time) and steal Rollins car. The look through his things to try and find something incriminating. They find something that leads them to Dale the Whale. Turns out Dale hired Rollins to kill the 6 fingered man, and frame Monk. Dale has also set a plan to murder the Mayor at a parade. Monk and Natalie go to the parade and try to stop it. Rollin's finds them, and Stott and Randy mostra up later. There's a bomb set on the Mayor's car that will go off when he is under the traffic lights. Monk runs after the car, jumps in it and shuts the ignition off, right before it gets to the traffic lights. Rollins tells the cops to arrest Monk for murder and Natalie for adding and abetting. Stott shows up, flashes his Captian's badge and orders the cops to arrest Rollins. At the end, Monk goes to Dale to see why Dale did this to him. Dale explains that he want's Monk to suffer they way he(Dale) has. Dale asks him if he found anything out about who killed Trudy, from going through the 6 fingered man's apartment. Monk says that they found some notes that were written to a judge. We don't know what judge they are just signed 'The Judge'.
