I like scary Film and I've seen quit a few but none of them have really ever scared me, does any one know of any really scary ones that they would recommend?

Id go far back try some Hitchcock, Wes Craven, John Carpenter o George A Romero films, For exact films Id try "The Birds" and "Pyscho" for Hitchcock. For Craven Id go with the original "Hills Have Eyes" "Last House on The Left" and "Scream". Carpenter the first two "Halloween" Film and Romero the original "Of the Dead" series (Dawn, Day, etc)

The Descent, Inside (À l'intérieur), the Cube and The Shining the mini series.

If te mean SCARY rather than gut-churning, I'd start with the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. te don't see nearly as much blood as te THINK you've seen but te feel drained when it's over. It still gets me. The first Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm strada, via also offer mucho jolts but the king of frights for me is The Shining. Nicholson's transformation from average joe to violent fruitbat is truly spine-tickling!

i'm the same the shining was boring and not that scary at al the scaries one i have seen it psycho but even that wasn't THAT scary but it was creepy and the decent is crap

te should see PROM NIGHT!!! The killer is exactly the kind of guy you'd expect to go psyco and kill everyone. Me and my friend watched that last night and we were screaming all the time. The Unborn is supposed to be really scary, though I've never seen it. I'd also try 'The Haunting in Connecticut' and 'When a Stranger Calls' (I've never seen either buy my friend says the last one I mentioned is pure FREAKINESS!)
But whatever te do...do NOT see Sweeney Todd. Maybe you've seen it and I don't mean to criticize your preferito movie o seomthing, but It's like 2 1/2 hrs of your life you'll never get back. The story plot has no point and it's just blood and guts the entire time. So let me spare you, please! It's not scary either.

The Ring scared maybe, don't know if te have watched that one
It also depends on how te see scary, with alot of thriller in it? o alot of blood and stuff
Because the movie Tamara has alot of blood in it and it wasn't really that scary but kinda sickining though :P

Let the Right One In, High Tension, Inside, A Tale of Two Sisters, Audition, Frontière(s)... Pretty much anything thing foreign is good. I'd go with High Tension o Inside they're both pretty intense and very good and scary.

Hitchcock films, Rosemary's baby, the Shining (the Kubrick version is the best), Eraserhead, Carrie. Hitchcock is good for suspense and Kubrick films for surrealism. These type films are dread horror rather than shock horror which can work better on some people than others.

There is no doubt That "The Exorcist" caused me più sleepless nights than any other movie I have ever seen.

Ok I don't care if you've seen this and didn't think it was scary, and if that's the case te have major guts: HALLOWEEN! Watch the original and the first one. If that doesn't scare te maybe te should watch The Exorcist o Texas Chainsaw Massacre. TCM is not for the faint of cuore though...

Have te seen The Exorcism of Emily Rose? It didn't scare me but I don't know if it would scare you, it's kind of interesting, and it's supposed to be based on a true story. Read this it's interesting. link (I know this wont disturb te twilighter83, but I'm warning whoever clicks on this might get disturbed da an image o two there)

Have te seen The Strangers? Its really scary! That movie scared me so bad, that im even afraid to watch it alone. te should definitely see it if te haven't.

the exorcist for sure its known as the scariest film of all time and i agree so far but i saw the trailer of a haunting in connecticut and im definately going to see it and i saw the unborn and its not really scary at all when i saw the trailer i thought it was going to be so freaky but i was disappointed

I recently watched The Children, I thought that was good!

For gore and a good story I would suggest Cube. The movie is awsome. For a newer movie that I liked I would go with Midnight Meat Train. Pretty much anything da Clive Barker is a good choice. Another one that is good for story and gore is Battle Royale from Japan. That movie is great, but te do have to read it. If te want something that has action in it I would go for the Russian Film Night Watch and giorno Watch. As for scary, there isn't much if anything that I find scary, so I can only reccomend ones that are done well.

A good double feature would be the original 1951 version of The Thing From Another World, followed da John Carpenter's 1980 (I think) remake called simply The Thing. Both great, creepy Film in their own way. Two completely different approaches to the same story.

To anyone that has ever travelled on the Underground in London, 'Creep' is pretty good. Also, 'Irreversible' while not a scary movie will leave te feeling sick!

"Dahmer", scared the creeping be-jeezes outta me & I'm pretty imune to scarey Film also, te should find it in your local dvd rental shop. The story of Jeffrey Dahmer, no blood, no guts, that is all just hinted at, but WOW, is it done well & to think there are people out there NOW who can get away with this stuff!

the child seed Film used to scare me. but i saw one movie one time called the tooth fairly (not darkness falls) and it was pretty freaky. but i was about 10 so idk how it is now. :)

Hmmmm.... well I recently watched 'Dreamcatcher', I seem to be in a minority when I say I enjoyed it. It might not be so much scary, but the gore is pretty good - well if te like that kinda stuff...
Also, I enjoyed My Bloody Valentine 3D and Friday the 13th - call be a biased Supernatural fan if te wish lol!

I guess i'm like te where i see loads of horror, but none of it ever scares me. There are some that actually managed to do that though. Dead Silence, Slither, Silent Hill, Pulse, and maybe Boogeyman 2 and The Grudge. Just good films for your consideration

Any of the newer zombie movies. (Dawn of the Dead, 28 Weeks Later, Resident Evil)
They really scare me, especially if te watch them in the dark da yourself. It may be different for you, though. Either way, most of them are really good:) Although Resident Evil is più of an action movie!

Another few I really like are Freddy Vs. Jason and Dark Ride. They're really good! And this Japanese Horror Movie called Reincarnation really scared me! It's in Japanese Subtitles, but definatly worth it!

The Fourth Kind scared the crap out of me. It's based on a true story and it has real footage in it.
The Poughkeepsie Tapes is a little creepy too.

The most scary movie I've ever seen was the Grudge Trilogy.Now it doesn't scare me so much anymore,but it might frighten te when te watch all three in a row for the first time.House of Wax was great,too.I know what te did last summer trilogy.Mirrors.The Ring 1&2.Candyman.

Watch Teletubbies.. It scared me alot xD

The exorcist is scary. The hand that rocks the culla and the ring are quite creepy. the haunting in connecticut is not scary but it does make te jump a bit. Halloween is fair scary and the grudge is ok. The thing and last house on the left are pretty scary. The omen is freeky but good . Paranormal activity is rubbish. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is scary.

i have heard the exorcist(from 1973) o the shining with jack nicholson,or maybe the blair witch project o any of the paranormal activity movies.

Hell Raiser 2....It scares me because of the simple fact that hell in this movie is a true look into the pit....(read the BIBLE)

The Human Centipede. That movie will stay with te for a while.
