generally, watching the movie makes me wanna read the book

I have to read the book first, because the movie ruins my own image of the characters and the scenery. Though it usually makes me mad at the parts left out of the movie.

For me it's better to watch the movie first because if I read the book first then watch the movie I usually get pissed. so better to watch the movie without judgment and then read the book so I can enjoy both.

If I get the chance I would like to read the book/s first so I can understand the characters and the story in depth, that way there won't be any unanswered questions I may have at the end of the movie :)

I like to the book first because when I read a book I like to be able to imagine for myself what the characters and everything looks like. Plus, if I haven't read the book then I'm not usually interested in the movie.

Although if I go and watch and movie that's been adapted from a book and I liked it, I go and read the book.

All the books I read were because I liked the movie(s) or almost all. But since the books are better than the movies, I think it's more fun to read the books after watching the movies since it only gets better. Moreover, some of the elements of the books are kind of harder to imagine (and appearence of the characters too), for example, Harry Potter (it's a very imaginative world) even if the desciptions are great, I like to have some images of it with the movies. I think it's one of the things that make the books better.

Depending on the book I have very specific taste in books, they have to be mysterie/suspense novels. But I love all types of movies. Example: I would have a better chance of liking a Romance movie then I would if it was a book.
