Why does everyone judge each other just because of Musica taste?

Me and my Friends were wandering around our school one giorno listening to some Musica like Black Veil Brides, Escape The Fate, Avenged Sevenfold and other Musica like that, then one guy comes up to us and says: "Wow, emo much?" Then later on my one friend was fighting with someone, and that person detto "Just go kill yourself." Honestly, why does everyone think we're suicidal just because of the Musica we listen to? Why are we bullied just because we Amore a band?
