Episode 82: Cars

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
Time: 7:24 AM
Railroad: Union Pacific
Hawkeye, and Stylo were walking to the trainyard. They were assigned to drive a freight train to Denver.
Stylo: What's gonna be on our freight train?
Hawkeye: *Looks at manifest* It says vegetables in eleven refrigerator cars, three bulldozers on three flat cars, a tank car full of syrup, and fifteen boxcars full of... Boxes.
Stylo: I guess that's why they're called boxcars.
Hawkeye: What's in the boxes though?
Stylo: It doesn't tell you?
Hawkeye: No.
Stylo: That's strange.
Things would get even stranger. When they got to the train yard, they saw it was nearly empty.
Stylo: Do te remember the yards ever being like this?
Hawkeye: Nope. I remember it was full of freight cars, and a dozen of ponies worked around here. *Looks at yard tower* Snowflake! ciao SNOWFLAKE!!
Snowflake: *Walks out of her tower* I heard te the first time.
Stylo: Why are the yards empty?
Snowflake: No freight trains have been coming in since yesterday.
Hawkeye: Do te realize what this means?
Stylo: We'll go out of business.
Snowflake: I'm sorry te two, but there's nothing I can do about it.
Hawkeye: We have to get a freight train into Denver, and I bet some of the cars we need are missing.
Snowflake: Let me see your manifest.
Hawkeye: *Gives Snowflake the manifest for his train*
Snowflake: *Examines the train yard* No, all of your cars are here, as well as most of the cars for Gordon's train.
Hawkeye: Most?
Stylo: Where's the rest?
Snowflake: How would I know?
Hawkeye: I got an idea.
At the station, Gordon arrived in a passenger train, and saw Percy fixing track successivo to his train.
Gordon: *Jumps out of his train, and stares at Percy* What is taking te so long? Surely te want to get this job done, don't you?
Percy: I do, but making the tracks nice, and smooth takes time.
Gordon: I don't care. Hurry up!! *Walks away*
Percy: *Feeling tired, so he decides to get onto the station platform, and take a break*
Brett: *Walks onto the platform, and smiles* ciao Percy.
Percy: Brett! It's so good to see te again.
Brett: I'm on my way to visit a cousin that lives in Manehattan, so I'm taking the train to an airport where tickets are cheap.
Percy: That's great. Tell me how it goes.
Brett: Okay. I want te to do something for me.
Percy: Anything for te Brett.
Brett: Will te watch my car for me? *Gives keys to Percy*
Percy: You're trusting me with your car?
Brett: *Nods* Brand new Chevy painted in light blue. The license plate is L62-RR4
Percy: I don't know what to say.
Brett: Except for the fact that you're excited?
They both laughed.
Percy: I gotta get back to work Brett.
Brett: te do that, I gotta get on board my train. *Gets onto passenger train*
Orion: *Arrives* Well, I see Gordon didn't destroy any part of this train for once.
Percy: That's good.
Orion: Now to get this train to it's destination on time, then I will make my successivo attempt to get fired on purpose.
Percy: They never work, so why are te still trying to get fired?
Orion: I have to if I want to stop working here. *Blows horn twice, and rings the bell. He drives the train out of the station*
Percy: *Watching the train*
As soon as the train left the station, Percy went back to work on fixing the track.
