Another Met Gala has come and gone, darlings, and now we’re left trying to make sense of everything that happened on the most stimulating red carpet of all time. And let’s just say this year’s theme, Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, inspired some bold satorial choices, splicing technology and fashion industries in the most interesting of ways. Overall,  the evening was a non-stop array of dazzling metallic dresses, leather breastplates, gladiator stilettos, and shiny, futuristic fabrics. That being said, whereas most attendees chose to go the fierce robot route — work it, Taylor Swift — others, such as Nina Dobrev, channeled their inner princess/villain and stunned in lavish gowns and intricate ensembles. The extravagant detail! The flawless blend of colors! Those chunky, red boots with the black laces! In all seriousness, the Oscar-winning actress, who was recently cast as Lara Croft, looks ready to kick some ass in her quirky Louis Vuitton number, much like the brave Keyblade wielder herself.
All she needs is a pair of horns, and this matriarch, looking svelte in a form-fitting Balmain dress, will be the baddest sorceress in all the land.
Obviously these are not the same frocks; Hailee’s custom-made H&M dress has much more va va voom to it. However, just like the daring women wearing them, they each possess a timeless, mesmerizing feel to them that’s borderline epic.
Between her black-and-white hairdo and ferocious pose, Nicki looks like a kinky, modern-day version of the
Emma, rocking Tory Burch like a boss, is a vision in her free-spirited braids and shades of purple.
