Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
\'Arrow\' Season 3 spoilers: Oliver and Felicity dating? Captain Lance?
The "Arrow" Season 3 premiere could be a big treat for fans. Based on a synopsis posted by The CW, Oliver Queen is going to try to live a normal life -- he may even ask his co-vigilante, Felicity Smoak, out on a date.
According to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, the first episode of the new season will be called "The Calm." The description posted on The CW\'s press site certainly seems to fit well with that title:
"In the aftermath of this victory, Season 3 opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen -- not as long as the city needs The Arrow."
For one thing, it looks like there might be a time jump between the Season 2 finale and the Season 3 premiere -- if Lance (Paul Blackthorne) has managed to make it to captain and is well enough to be directing task forces, some time must have passed. Another rather notable part of this description mentions that Oliver (Stephen Amell) is going to ask Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) out on a date. Perhaps that "I love you" fake-out in the recent season finale had a grain of truth in it after all?
As for the deadly villain reappearing, that is most likely the new and probably-not-improved Count Vertigo. Peter Stormare is set to take on this role now that the previous Count Vertigo (Seth Gabel) died at the hands of the Arrow in Season 2.
Is this really what fans can expect in "Arrow" Season 3? The answers will come with the premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
