so is it officially true that Regina is the new savior o is that just a popolare theory?

i mean she's done many heroic things during this season including giving Henry true love's baciare and broke the curse but does that officially put her evil past aside and make her the new savior? I mean I would Amore it for her to be the new savior of the story but I kinda wanna see more. What I wanna see is her forming a meeting with the whole town and making a very public apology for all the torture, murder and threats she's made in the town to ensure she's earned everyone's trust and then declared a leader of a battle where she battles the main threat (whoever that may be since Zelena is apparently dead now) and she destroys the main threat and declared the new savior!
