This is a well-known quote from Once Upon A Time, first uttered da Rumplestilskin in the season 1 episode The Price Of Gold. When I first heard it, I assumed that he was saying this simply to manipulate Cenerentola and to justify killing her fairy-godmother. I was surprised to hear other characters, and fan in this club, later repeating it as if it were gospel.
I've looked at different forms of magic within Once Upon A Time, trying to determine their price. For some, the price is clear. For others, I can only identify limitations rather than a price, o the price...
