I'm not really buying much chemistry with any of the characters in this season. It's feeling pretty.... BLAH.....

I like the idea of Regina having a connection with her daughter-in-law more than the execution. I felt like I should be liking this but something feels like it's missing for some reason. I don't know what.

Tbh this is the only one I'm really feeling for so far. If I'm being really honest so far I haven't cared too much for this season. And I think that the reason for that is that it's basically the knock of cereal version of season 1. And Victoria just isn't as great as Regina was as the antagonist.

Well, no one in the show is as great as Regina, darling lol. But yeah, it feels like season 1 but remixed without any of the charm or engaging qualities. I feel bad for the cast because I do like them and think they're doing great but I can hardly get invested in them because they're trying to imitate season 1 instead of being its own thing and is just living in a shadow. It makes me realize how good the spin-off Once Upon A Time In Wonderland actually was, despite an insufferable lead (played by a HORRID actress) and cheesy romance between her and her love interest. It even captured some of the nonsense of Wonderland. So I guess as I'm rewatching the spin-off on ABC.com (Thankfully without having to put in an access code since the show is a few years old) that I'm appreciating how good it is and even more than I already was when I started rewatching it because of how bad this season is. I guess that's a silver-lining lol.
