I arrived at the theatre 20 minuti later accompanied da Raman, who had calmed down almost completely. I showed her to a sede, sedile near the front, before I hurriedly changed into my costume backstage. We went through the musical once, and nobody made any mistakes. If it went like this tonight, everything would be perfect.
“Well done guys, that was great! te can all go relax o something now, maybe get something to eat?” Sarah suggested, smiling. She was the person in charge around here. “Hannah, do te want to go through any of your songs again?” I shook my head.
“I think I’m good” Sarah nodded, and left.
I sat down on the edge of the stage, and invited Raman to come up.
“It all looks so big from up here, doesn’t it?” she said.
I stood up, and looked out at the rows of seats.
“Yeah, it does” I sighed.
“But, until then, do te want to do something? Have te got your guitar?” Quickly, I ran backstage to grab my guitar. “You pick a song” I smiled.
Raman paused for a moment, thinking. “Do one of those mash-up things te have on your iPod”
“I can’t play them on guitar”
“Then do it without”
Smiling, I handed Raman my iPod. “Pick one of them”.
She searched for a moment, then settled on one, before handing it back. I checked which one it was, before plugging it into the speakers. As the first secondi of the song started to play, I started singing.
