Julli’s POV
I waved bye to the boy’s as we drove to Adi’s house.
“put in our CD” asked Adi, we had made a CD with each other, last mese and listened to it all the time. Drunk da Ed Sheeran began and we sang along the whole car ride home to whichever song came on. When Adi pulled into her drive-way , I saw her family sitting on their front porch, and her dad was grilling.
“ Hola, Julli, como estas?” (how are you?) asked her mom , giving me a warm smile. I felt like Adi’s house, was y real home, and seeing her family brought on a smile on my face.
“Bien, thank you” (good) her parent’s spoke English, but preferred Spanish.
“ we’ll be upstairs‘, were going to the beach, Ma” detto Adi as we walked up onto the porch and inside.
“hey Jull’s, don’t want to rain on your parade, but, I don’t think te thought going to the spiaggia all the way through” she detto with a concerned look on her face. I didn’t understand.
“ What, and why not?” I detto a bit aggravated, she was raining on my parade. She took a step closer to me and lifted my shirt. I saw my bruises and I felt so suggesting going to the beach.
“I totally forgot… What now?” I asked her.
“just wear a prendisole, sundress and say te don’t feel like swimming….” she detto as we walked up the stairs to were her bedroom was. She closed the door and sat on her letto and looked me straight in the eye’s.
“Or, te know, te could just tell them….” sha detto taking my hands in her’s
WHAT?!? ARE te CRAZY?! Was what I was thinking in my head but all that came out was …
“no, not yet… Can I trust them?” I detto to her.
“ Im sure te can, but if te don’t want to , then don’t. But wear something just in case te decide, te want to take a dip. We should probly start to get ready though…”
She detto looking over at her clock. 10:32 it read. I got up and walked out, and into the guest room. I had turned it into my bedroom. It was me, and Adi upstairs. We also had a little bathroom up here. I never slept in the guestroom, but I kept my clothes in it’s closet. They still used it as a guest room , and would just lock the closet door whenever someone else stayed over and needed a room. She followed me and I sat on the bed, while she rummaged through my thing’s. I admired how concentrated she would get when choosing an outfit o making a new art project. She was an artist, plain and simple.
“ Here” she detto laying out the clothes on the bed. My white bikini with cheetah print in rainbow. White short, short’s, loose blue tank superiore, in alto and my navy blue sandal’s.
“ Amore it” I detto to her after examining my clothing.
“what about you?” I asked her.
“mmm, I don’t know, come help!” she detto as she took my hand and skipped into her room, and over to her closet.
“this and these” she detto taking clothes in her hands and laying it out for me to see. Her hot rosa bikini with black skulls on it, it was my favorite. Her black short, short’s, a white tank superiore, in alto and her black sandal’s. We both changed into our clothes and then examined ourselves in the mirror.
“Jull, wait have te been, no, wait, have te been cutting your thigh’s again?” she detto now looking at me seriously. Her blue eyes sparked with frustration.
“yeah, but, it just looks like a cat scratched me…. We can talk later… we have to go.” I detto walking out of her room. She followed me out and down the stair’s into her kitchen. I pulled out a bottle of water and took a sip, as if nothing.
“How can te be so cool about it? What’s been going on?” she asked while getting herself a bottle of lemonade.
“look I don’t want to talk about it now, we can talk later, I promise.” I detto holding her hand.
“okay, but we WILL discuss this,we should probly get going, we were supose to meet at 11, and its already 11:03” she detto while getting her sunglasses, borsa and key’s.
“ let’s gooooo” I detto following her out the door’s.
“bye” we both shouted while driving off to meet the boy’s at Mickey D’s.
