Ambers POV:
I ran till I could no longer see the hotel tower.I passed people,buildings and cars.
It got dark and it started to slightly rain,so I hopped on a bus.
I gave the bus driver the few dollars I had,and took a sede, sedile in the back.An old man sat 3 seats ahead of me with a sad face,and a woman holding a baby sat 2 before him.
Both with sad depressed lonely looks.
Luckily,I still had my backpack and my phone.
I opened my phone and looked in my contacts.For a moment,I thought about calling louie,but I bypassed his number when I seen Drews number.I clicked dial and put it to my ear.
"Hello?"he anwsered.
"Drew when was it you'd be back?"I spoke quickly.
"In about 2 weeks,Why?Is something wrong?"
"I just found out my dads alive..."
"Oh my gosh,Im so happy for you."he detto in a happy tone.
"And everyone knew but me."
"oh..."his tone changed.
"I don't know where to go,I'm on a bus right now and it's raining."
"Ride home."
"I can't,I have to go to new york to meet him but mrs.rose probably won't let me.Ill break her heart."
"then go to my apartment.The first window is unlocked,just crawl in.and I'll be there."
"How are te going to leave?"
"don't worry about that.Once te get there change out of your clothes and lay down."
"Okay,I will."
"And amber?"
"Yes."
"I'll always be there for you,I'm not like that for anyone else."
"I know,your a good friend."
"I have to go now,I Amore you,bye."he detto then hanging up.
I just friend zoned him...for Louie,who lied to me.
The words 'I Amore you' repeated in my head.
My phone rang again,and looked to see louie was calling me.
I pressed decline,but a notification came up telling me he left me a voicemail.
I opened it up and put it to my ear.
"Amber,I know your not going to anwser me but I don't care.I Amore you,and I want te to know I didn't intend for it to be this way.I wanted to tell te but te were going to leave me.Im so sorry,it wasn't my decision in the first place.I don't know if you'll come back but if te do,I'll try to be più respectful to your choices and I understand if te don't want to marry a jerk like me.I have to go,I Amore te so much.bye."
I let a tear fall and then I quickly swiped it with my jacket.
"Love sick?"the old man looked back at me.
"Hmm?"I looked up.
"Heartbroken?"
I nodded.He stood up with his cane and walked to back of the bus taking a sede, sedile successivo to me.
"My names Za..."he paused."Zach."I looked at him strangely.

"It's nice to meet you,I'm amber."
"Yes it is nice."he smiled.
What a strange man,I thought.
"I couldn't help to hear that message.It sounds like that boy really loves you,"
"I don't know about that,he lied to me."
"I know,but he had reason."
This man was creepy but also friendly.
"And was that reason good?"he asked.
"Yes but.."
"So he does Amore you.Ive been there,I was that boy about 40 years ago.But now Im different."
"You have children?"
"Don't te mind if I ask of the date?"
"It's the 21st."I anwsered him.
"No,I don't have children."
"A wife?"
"I'm engaged."
Okay,this is weird...
"but te seem a bit old to be engaged."
"Love can occur whenever it pleases."
"And sometimes accidents happen."said the woman in the front.
"When te get this age,you learn that Amore is very content and stable when built on good trust."
"Ain't that true,"said the bus driver.
I looked out the window to see we were entering the highway.
"Amber,You just have to hold on.Louie really loves you.."I heard a voice that sounded similar to Zayns.
On instinct I turned my head around,"How do te know my name?"
My eyes widen to see that the old man had disappeared.Vanished into thin air,he was gone.
"Zayn?"I looked around.
The woman looked back me.
"Where did he go?"
The woman stared at me for a moment then went back to tending to her baby.Did I imagine that?
Suddenly the bus stopped and I realized I was in front of my apartment.
"Get off."the driver ordered.I gathered my things as I pondered about what had just happened.I ran through the rain across the parking lot and down the alley way to my apartment.The door was locked so I knocked.
David answered the door.
"Why are te home?I thought te were in cancun."
"Yea,change of plans."I detto then passing him up and rushing to my room.
"What's up?"he followed me.
"Is Mrs.rose here?"
"No,she went.."
"Good.This will be easy."I detto then opening my drawer."Where's all my stuff?"I looked at him.
I hadn't noticed that everything was in boxes.
"Were moving.."
"How do we have the money for that?"
"It was suppose to be a surprise but Louie is buying us a apartment down town."
I froze and the sound of his name.
"Forget it,I don't need clothes."
"Woah,slow down.Where are te going?"
"I can't tell you.Wheres Robby?"
"Why not,he s in bed."
I hurried down the hall to his bedroom.
"Amber,Answer me."David ordered.
"I don't have time to."
"But Amber."he detto then grabbing my arm.
"Listen to me."I detto looking him in the eyes."Remember how te detto you'd be there for me?Today I need to te to be there for me,even through I won't be here physically."
I turned around and I woke Robby up.He mumbled and rolled over.
"Yes,but how can I if your leaving."
"I need te to not say a word to Mrs.Rose.You can't tell her I was here."
"Amby?"Robby looked up at me.Instantly he got up and clung in to me.I hugged him back and let the tears fall from my eyes.
"I Amore you,but I have to go.okay?"
"Why?"he looked at me.
"just because."I let go of him.
I tucked him back in,and walked out the room.
David followed me into the kitchen.
"how long will te be gone?"
"I have no idea."
"this is crazy,amber."
"I know,but I'll be leaving now."I detto then hugging him."I Amore te so much and don't te forget that.."
Suddenly,a tear from his eye,quickly he swiped it and tried to act like he wasn't crying.
"You don't always have to be tough.Do te realize your only 13?You don't have to be strong,It's okay to cry sometimes."
"I'm just worried and scared."he admitted.
"I May be gone for a mese o two,I guess.But I'll come back for you.Till then share a smile,and don't te worry.I'll be fine."
He nodded and I hugged him one last time,then headed out into the rain with my umbrella.


I ran up the staircase to Drews apartment and checked to see if he had forgot to lock it.Locked but the knob was loose.I tried the window which was unlocked but it was stuck.In my frustration,I pulled tightly on the knob and popped the lock.I stumbled in and dropped my backpack and umbrella then flopped on the couch.My feet were burning and aching from the long walk,and I was cold from the chilly rain.I laid there for a moment,then realizing I was human and I had needs.I got up and raided his fridge.In the freezer,I found a Frozen pizza.Quickly,I put it in the microwave and went to the bathroom to start my water.I adjusted to be mildly warm.With little struggle,I pulled my ponytail out and let down my hair.I ran my fingers through my hair pushing it back,then I wiped my tears from my redden eyes.
I undressed and laid down in the tub.My mind ran through thoughts.What should I do now?
I was alone,just me and my thoughts.Should I have cried?
I did,I nearly doubled the amount of water in the tub from my tears.Each tear yanked from my eye,had its own feeling.
Lonely.Sad.Confused.Scared.Desperate.Empty.Hurt.
But all together human.
As time flew,my fingers became wrinkled and my water Lost some heat.I felt sleepy and heavy eyed.My eye lids begged me to shut them and fall into a deep sleep.With the warmth of water surrounding my body like a blanket my eyelids fell closer and closer together.And I was forced into a deep dreamless sleep...
