It has been almost exactly a anno since I postato the first installment of OTH predictions-a-la-me. And then I took a hiatus from this series, which blew right past the season 6 finale, bypassed the premier of season 7, and landed us on the heels of 7x11, "You Know I Amore You, Don't You?" This episode is where I'll pick up...after a lengthy absence from fanpop posting, it's good to be back Scrivere articoli for the One albero collina spot in all it's glory:)

Anyway, enough nostalgia. How about a glimpse into the possible future of a certain small town loaded with big drama? And speaking of drama...

A Quick (Hopefully) Word About OTH 2.0:

This is the first opportunity I've had to spout off about Luke and Peyton's untimely exodus and Mark Schwann's mediocre attempt to fill the gaping hole that these two left behind. So indulge me for a minute. Episode 7x01, "4:30am (Apparently They Were Traveling Abroad)," left me fuming when it premiered without any explanation as to where Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Scott ran off to. Over the course of this season, we've been able to infer that the former epic couple is still out there somewhere and presumably in touch with the rest of the original crew. At least enough so to send a gift to Jamie's seventh birthday party and sign over the record company to Haley James Scott. But now the mostra is lacking a moral center in Lucas and a voice of reason in Peyton, not to mention a Amore affair that's had fan cheering since giorno one. And what I really can't understand is how none of the other characters seem to miss them. All Brooke had to say about losing her best friend was, and I quote: "Peyton used to say 'people always leave;' who knew she was actually talking about her own stupid ass." And those words spoken way back in 7x01 were the only indication that B. Davis might actually remember P. Sawyer from back in the day. As for Nathan, his brother and personal Jiminy Cricket skips town, and what does our carlotta, charlotte Bobcat do? Replaces Lucas with Clay, that's what. Like he never even existed. I do NOT approve. It's torture enough that Mark Schwann diviso, spalato up the "fab five," but to cover up their tracks with a crop of new cast members, keep their whereabouts a secret from viewers, and not allow the remaining "fab three" (not as catchy) to mourn their friends' departure...that is soooo not the direction I had hoped One albero collina would take. But since I brought up the replacement cast, let's explore what they have been doing to stir up the scene...

New Characters Equal New Heart(and Head)aches:

New kids on the block - Robert Buckley, Jana Kramer, and Shantel VanSanten - have already carved out their own little niches in albero Hill, much to the annoyance of our old standbys Brooke, Nathan, and Haley. Not that Hales doesn't Amore her big sis Quinn. Not that Nate doesn't owe his career to Clay (or so he did until Clay got cocky with the contract). And not that Brooke isn't thrilled with the new face of Clothes Over Bros...oh, wait, she REALLY isn't thrilled with the new face of Clothes Over Bros! Of course, B. Davis has every reason to want Alex permenently out of the picture, and after this week's episode, she may have gotten her wish. Now, for seven years we've watched the residents of this town cheat death over and over, so killing off a brand-new series regular seems highly unlikely; however, is it possible even in the televison realm to survive such a drastic suicide attempt? If Julian does indeed rescue Alex from her own stupidity, which the previews have been hinting at, I would Amore to know how the writers plan to pull that one off. Let me get this straight, Mark, this girl slits her wrists, lies down in a bathtub full of water, bleeds all over the place, and she gets to live??? Not plausible...unless Alex made the classic suicide mistake of cutting horizonatally instead of vertically. That would be the only chance our friend, the washed-up actress/crack-addict, has of survival. Personally, I am tired of her hitting on Julian, turning Millie into a train-wreck, and manipulating everyone around her, so saying bu-bye to this irritating character wouldn't be the worst thing. The only problem is if the truth comes out that Brooke drove Alex to commit this act da revealing that little detail about her screenplay, the Brulian romance could be doomed. Think about it: Brooke feels guilty, so she does what she does best - comdemns herself to living alone and unloved. Besides, she has already determined that Julian can't be trusted, what with spilling the secret that Brooke can never be a mother and spending way too much time with Alex - (there she is again, wreaking havoc). The fact that Brooke may be indirectly responsible for a death could push my newest preferito couple over the edge. And the real tragedy would be that Alex has succeeded in tearing them apart after all.
***Yeah, I know I subtitled this section "New Characterssss," but I'm not gonna waste time trying to forsee where Quinn and Clay end up 'cause their story is pretty predictable without any help form yours truly...Blah, blah, blah, Qinn and Clay become Quay (or Clinn, whichever te prefer). After a few più weeks of bickering, Nathan rehires Clay as his agent. The war of the James sisters fizzles. Together, they all hatch a brilliant scheme to reinstate Nate with the Bobcats. And everyone in the Scott sphere lives happily ever after until the successivo problem comes along. Because it always does.***

Movin' Up and Movin' Out (of albero Hill, that is):

Well, another small town-itis epidemic has landed in albero Hill. The symptoms: characters itching to stretch their legs, panting to spread their wings, dying to see the world. The cure: everybody seems to be on their way outta here! Nathan has his sights set on Spain...to play pallacanestro, basket NOT flirt with senioritas; that's a warning, Nate: don't screw things up with your very patient wife yet again. Unless Clay can work some last minuto magic with a certain NBA team close to home, it's Barcelona o bust! And Nathan won't be the only the member of the Scott clan hitting the road in pursuit of a long-awaited dream. That hometown musician, Haley James, is going back on tour after a six-year break from riding the bus. Fingers crossed that this time around, World War III can be avoided upon Haley's return because I don't know about the rest of you, but Naley fights are WWWWAAAAYYYY overrated these days. In addition to Nate and Hales relocating the lovenest overseas, two più regulars are packing up their lives in albero collina - Mouth and Skills. Two years fa the bright lights of Hollywood beckoned to P. Sawyer, and now LA is stealing these rivercourt cronies away from us too. Now, I would trade Marvin McFadden and Antwon Taylor for Lucas and Peyton any day, but since they're not coming back, does every single cast member have to follow suit? And ya know what this means for the tattered remnants of Mouth and Millie's reltaionship: it's as good as over...same goes for Skills and Lauren. Believe what te want, but long-distance romances hardly ever last.

Hints (Gotta Watch Closely) Within the Spript:

1. Brooke is adopted (thanks for that subtle insinuation, Vicoria).
2. Julian falls for brunettes in distress (Brooke is strong and independent. Alex is not. DO THE MATH).
3. Millicent Huxtable is high school Rachel Gatina (drugs, body image, modeling...where have I seen that before?!?).
4. Dan is done being Dan (he wants out, end of story, and for that he'll be redeemed).
5. Something's up with Alex's movie (why else would Julian rush to her place after walking out of her life 5 minuti prior?).
