Nathan and Haley can relate to Ryan and Marissa too but, I think that Ryan and Marissa relate more too leyton.
Lucas is always protecting Peyton. Ryan is always proteccting Marissa.
They both love eachother.
Their relationships were both off and on.

I hear this from anyone who watches both shows. This is why I prefer brucas and raylor.

only cause luke is always saving her. but peyton wasn't a constant trainwreck PUTTING herself into bad situations to make herself need saving. Marissa annoyed the hell outa me. she never seemed to grow up and learn from her mistakes. Peyton's nothing like Marissa and Luke is more similar to ryan in the sense that he came from a poor house, was abandoned by his father, fell for a girl at first sight and never really got over her. but he's different from luke cause at least ryan didn't hide in relationships half the time and cheat on half his girlfriends. ryan didn't always know what he wanted but he treated each girl he dated with respect (and I must say, he had a lot of short term relationships). Luke only seemed to treat Peyton like a goddess but his other girlfriends were constantly "hanging on for dear life". Leyton worked when they were together. They trusted eachother and never let ppl come between them while they were together. Ryan and Marissa constantly fought and ppl constantly came between them, that's why they never worked. When Ryan's relationships faltered, he lived, grieved and moved on (most importantly, he grew up abit near the end from alot of his emotional shortcomings and lack of ability to stick to a decision, but that's a whole other story)...i'm waiting to see that in luke in s5. Oh and ryan and marissa just weren't meant to be and they admitted that to each other in s3 (taylor was a lot better for him; Teresa would have been too if ryan wasn't such a block head fighting all the time in s3). Luke and Peyton may reach that in s6, but at this point, all signs point to them being destined for each other!

I don't really like Ryan & Marissa. And like Abs, marissa annoyed me, well just a little.

def leyton, watching their relationships is like watching a trainwreck, i just can't look away as they destroy each other. Naley is too good, and loving and true to be compared to ryan and his doomed relationship with a girl who was killed off for a reason, so more leyton.

Agreed with abs, definately about the whole peyton/marissa thing and the ryan and luke differences.
Marissa is such an annoying little DRAMA QUEEN!!! But I still loved Ryan and Marissa and the only reason they said they weren't "meant to be" is because they were going to kill Marissa off the show because she didn't want to act on the oc anymore.
I really don't like Marissa or Mischa... but I loved RM<33

anyways, YEAH ABS YOU ARE SOOOO RIGHT (AS ALWAYS)! peyton has REAL problems she needs saving from, marissa`s was that her parents got divorced & then luke was kissing holly when she perfectly has ryan & she went & OD`D. marissa`s character was sooo dependant on others, brought all the drama on herself & never learned from her mistakes!
not to sound like, evil but she totally had a hand in her death- she meets ryan & relies on him for everything, hes a good guy so lucky her, she meets oliver & relies on him for everything, BAD GUY but ryan saves her lucky her, she meets trey & relies on him for everything, BAD GUY AGAIN but ryan to the rescue lucky her & then she meets vulchuk but unfortunately ryan could not save her this time. aww poor marissa lol i still love her though believe it or not, in s1 marissa & ryan were my faves!

i love ryan and marissa, and dont like leyton, but heres what i think:
ryan is always saving marissa
lucas is always saving peyton

at the begining ryan and lucas are like outcasts
also, marissa and peyton are the sort of people that are in the popular group but dont really want to be (peyton being a cheerleader and marissa always just wanting to escape.)

besides, naley are more like sethummer.

undeniably leyton...thats why ryan/marissa and leyton are two of my fav couples of all time!!!!
