Man nothing is better than the original

A little bit. I do miss Takeshi and Kasumi but they've had they turn (that included Kasumi/Misty's reappearance in the Hoenn Episodes) and Takeshi/Brock had time from the Kanto to the Sinnoh (minus most of the Orange Islands Episodes with Kenji-kun/Tracey) I think they had their fair share of being in the anime already. I Think It's Iris and Dento-kun's turn now.

No, frankly the old series was boring and got used up. Misty's character got run dry and Brock was starting to get old. You can't keep the same characters forever.

You say that even though Ash has been more of a constant then either of them.

I wouldn't care if Ash leaves, but frankly if he leaves Pokemon wouldn't last to long. So his character even though it may get old, is needed.

A change in personality, ala character development, could make him better or they can make a character similar to him in personality but enough to say it isn't a copy, wouldn't be a surprising outcome.

I feel like they made the series the way it is. Or at least they had the most positive impact in my opinion. But personally, they had their spotlight. Besides the new series is a reboot, no one is coming back.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind id Brock came back, but I don't like Misty. So I'll have to go with pumpkinqueen with this....

I'm very old school pokemon fan...I have the show up to Misty and some May on dvd(because they were on sale and I don't hate it) and all the movies up to the 2nd Dawn one, but from there I just lost all intrest in the show. The Kanto is still my favorite season and game, though I like the remake of the game better. I guess because I was a fan during it's hayday and when the movies had a theatical relese. I've tried to like from Dawn on(granted I haven't watch much Black/White) I just can't, all the nostagia was drained from it and I feel like I picked up a new show all together. The only characters I like any more are still the Team Rocket orginals(Jesse, James, Butch, Cassidy, and Giovanni if they still have him) and even they have grated on my nerves in the newer stuff. I don't know any more I still like the games but if they brought them back I might be able to get intrest again.

Yes and no. I mean I miss both Brock and Misty, but they did start to get old and plain. I love every generation, don't get me wrong but I don't know if I want them back for every episode. I wouldn't mind seeing them drop in every now and then. I would actually love to see all the characters visit Ash, or just check in on how he's doing. I mean they are his best friends, yet they never talk. But to see old characters come back every episode? I wouldn't enjoy it. I grew up with generation one, but I can't live in the past. I realized they aren't coming back, so I got over it. Sometimes I miss seeing them all the time, but that's what the old episodes are for, I just rewatch them.

I love Brock and Misty and I loved the original episodes!! Watching the new ones with iris makes me feel a little like Iris and Cilan are almost copies of Brock and misty...no offense to iris and cilan fans
