"Bryce I don't think we should be out here....Like uncle Brick said, it's dangerous." Bella detto worried.

"Look Bella, I don't care what anyone says." Bryce said.

"Yeah, te only care about yourself!" Bella detto pushing Bryce to the ground.

"MEOW!!!!" Came a threatening hiss.

"Wow Bella, te have a big meow!" Bryce detto shocked.

"That...wasn't...me..." Bella detto shaking.

"T-then wh-who was-s it-t?" Bryce asked scared.

"It-s-s probably w-what unc-uncle Brick was-s warning us ab-bout..." Bella asked trembling.

"Bella...I'm scared...." Bryce detto huddling close to his sister.

"Ha ha ha he he!" Came an evil laugh.

"I wanna go home!! Why did te drag me into this?!" Bella cried.

Suddenly, a huge black body of pelliccia and claws as sharp as thorns jumped at them from the bushes.

"Aaaahhhh!" They both screamed. But the cat didn't attack him. Something had stopped it.

"Uncle Butch!" The two screamed in relief.

It wasn't easy for Butch to win against this cat. This cat was bigger than Butch, and a tad stronger. The unfamiliar smells were choking. Bella and Bryce were scared. They just sat there and watched their uncle get scratched and the other cat get bitten.

"Your so stupid Bryce!" Bella whispered.

Finally, it looked as if Butch was defeated. But when the cat got close to make sure, Butch sprang up and dug his claws into the Gatti eyes, blinding it.

"Gaa!" The cat screamed in pain and anger."You will die!"

"If te cant see, te cant beat me!" Butch teased.

The cat ran back scared out of sight. Butch turned to Bella and Bryce. They knew they were in trouble.

"What did te dad say about coming out here?!" Butch yelled at them. "Your in big trouble now! Wait till your dad here's this! te almost cost me my life! te see how badly hurt I am?!"

"Were sorry." Bella said, her head hanging low.

"Sorry wont cut it!" Butch semi-yelled. "Lets go!"

The two fallowed him back.

"Man. Were in deep stuff now." Bryce whispered to Bella.

"Be quite, both of you!" Butch said.

When they got back to camp, Boomer wondered why Butch was so cut up. Then he noticed his kits were behind him.

"What did they do?!" Boomer asked in shock.

"They went into the woods! Even te told them not to!" Butch said."I just had to put my life to saving them!"

"It was all Bryce's fault! He made me do it!" Bella detto with tears stinging her eyes.

"Is this true Bryce?!" Boomer asked madly.

"No!" Bryce lied.

"You should be ashamed! Both of you!" Boomer said.

"Watch your kids più carefully Boomer! I wont save them again!" Butch detto walking into his den.

"Why would te guys do that after I told te not?" Boomer detto in a più calming voice.

"Sorry daddy..." Both of them said.

"*sigh...* if only your mom was here..." Boomer detto with his head hanging low.

"I wish we could of met mommy, once." Bella detto with tears streaming down her cheek. She wiped them away with her tail.

"Your mom was a sweet person. Happy all the time. She had the softest and most calming voice I've ever heard. te guys would of liked her. She was very nice, and never lied- well sometimes but not a lot. In fact, almost never. She was funny, and bubbly. She loved to have fun, and the sad thing is, she loved kids." Boomer detto with tears ready to flow any second.

"I wish she were still here!" Bryce detto rubbing his head on Boomers side.

"I know. I do too." Boomer said.
