gioco di ruolo casuale O'Captain My.....King!?

((I Know its more than a mouth full guys, but please just bear with me))

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells ring;
Rise up—for you the pirate's flag is flung—but upon your head, is the ghostly crown of a KING!? ,
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their dumbfounded faces turn;
Here Captain! dear King!?
This arm beneath your head,
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve risen, no longer cold and dead.

My Captain....My King.... answers, his lips are pale, no longer still,
My Captain is a King and he has a pulse and will,
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with another object to be won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I with astounded tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lives,
As a King, no where near dead!

[Backstory]
It is reasonable to assume that Pirates have existed since the first ships began to sail the mighty and treacherous seas of the world. Some were well known mostly as vikings, others just as you've imagined them to be. But the strange part of all of this is that its been revealed that your Captain.....was a KING. Someone who bore great riches and had great power. But how in the pits of Davy Jones Locker did such an all powerful person become adapted to ruling over the seas!? And what purpose was behind all of it, for it was not just your captain that was a king, but numerous others. Even some of the greatest pirates in history! Black Beard included! Now that you've found the truth of your Captain being a King, how far are you willing to look, how adventurous, curious, anxious are your spirits to find the the hidden truth behind the purposes of these great King Pirates? How much treachery are you willing to tread through to find the answers that poke at your minds and blow your flags in the breezes of the sea? But the hidden purpose isnt the only astounding matter of it, there be more, a lot more.

--SETTING---
This Rp takes place at both land and sea, but mostly sea. It shall be explained that the world is a lot different now that most of the land has been drowned by the oceans and seas, and now only little land still remains.
------------------

[Once a King, Twice a Captain]

A loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago, Kings were known to be rulers of land. As facts remain, some were great and kind leaders/rulers, and some were ruthless and daring. Kings were always ones to have great riches and fortune, and more power to use than one may think. But wouldnt you think that they would atleast get bored with the whole role of being a king? Ruling over the lands and sending wrong doers and sometimes innocence to torture chambers. Or going to battle with numerous other kings and conquering more land? Well of course they did! And it all started with King Jakovin, or better known by his pirate persona, Black Beard, who's ghost is still known to roam the seas, taking out cargo ships that took goods to other kingdoms and looting other pirate ships and looting their treasure. He was one who loved adventure, but was bound by the morales of a king. Well, until one day he just up and left on a large ship. A ship filled with over a thousand crew members and holding up to a hundred and fifty catapults, that were later replaced with a more powerful and somewhat accurate weapon, the cannons. At that time, weapons went from broad swords, to curved blades. And from there, the name "pirate" was reborn and King Jakovin was no more. Captain Black Beard was born. A man that was once a king, now a ruler of the seven seas. The specific time that this change occurred is not accurately known. It is only known that a big change was made.

--The Catastrophe--

---------

[The Power of a King Captain]

Now, it was already fascinating and mind blowing, that the fearless leaders of the seas were once king's, but what was really off the deck was the strange.....power that these king captains have. Some have a strange adventurous crown of fires that float above their heads as a sign of their former positions. Others have the ability to navigate the breezes of the sea, and some even have other strange powers/abilities. This power was known as Graceful Scurvy. Ironic, because scurvy was a common disease that some of the most recent pirates inhabited. But the name was suitable. Because those King Captains that have achieved this power have had near death experience from that very disease. It would last for a total of 3 horrible days, and can last to a total of a week long. This is also a sign to most captains of what crew members will carry on their name and legacy after they pass. Up to three crew members actually achieve this strange power because most crew members dont survive after going through this, because their bodies never recover. From what was observed, it seems that only a chosen few members of a crew would survive. It is very rare that more than 3 members survive such a sudden encounter. This power also seems to transfer memories from the the original king captains to the apprentice successors.

[Scurvy Gracelings]
The few lucky or unlucky crew members that catch wind of the Graceful Scurvy are known as Gracelings, because they have not yet became a King Captain. But that title is only held by the those who survive. Those who arent so lucky are known as Davey Jone's Shit. A disgraceful name for the ones that die. Sad really. The crew members that survive undergo 3 days of the empowering scurvy, and a extra day to recover fully from it in so little time, which would make it a total of 4 days. But of course, they just dont boom pow and become the next apprentice successor for a King Captain. They undergo a series of 3 tests, and only if they survive, will they become worthy enough.

((The Plank Trial))
The Plank Trial is what the 3 tests that the Gracelings undergo is called.

The first test, the Graceling will be placed in a barrel that has a rope tied around it, and sent down under the sea with the help of an anchor. They would stay there for a entire day, and if they are still alive after they are pulled out, then they would move on to the next test.

The second test of the Plank Trial, the Graceling will have to slay a creature of the see, and in the process, find out his/her special power/ability while in the danger of being killed by the creature.

The third test of the Plank Trial, the Graceling will have to simply.....knock the King Captain's hat from his head. Simple right? Wrong. Remember that they will be trying to do that while battling with their King Captain, which is easier said that done. But only then would the Graceling be deemed necessary. But there is a secret behind the third test.
--------------------

[Purpose of the Once Upon a Kings]

The big question still remains. What influenced kings to become captains of pirate fleets? Was it some sort of valuable treasure? Maybe. Was it a quest for more power? To gather more forces? Kind of. Yet, it is the simplest answer. Their purpose for this change was for the thrill of adventure. The thrill of battling at sea. AND in fact, to find a very distinct and legendary treasure of artifacts called Davy's Fortune that could possibly make them more than a legend. A treasure that could change the world....AGAIN. But this treasure has been impossible to find for the last hundreds of years. Even so.....the adventure is definitely worth it!!

((Three Ships of Legend))

*There are going to be three ships that this is going to revolve around, and all three are going to meet up at some point further along. These three ships are the Snap Fortuna, the Mangy Cutlass, and the Festering Rover.
-------------------

Rules and Expectations:
-Okay, so you dont have to talk like a full blown pirates, but atleast throw a little of their vocabulary in here and there. Of course I would say that this is somewhat of a modern/back then mixture.

-Of course, no godmodding. It slows progress and dulls everything.

-Try to reduce the amounts of one liners.

-Two to three characters per rper. There are going to be two or three ships that this entire thing revolves around. Please inform me if you have the idea of adding anything more.

-Uhhh.....pie? XD That is all.

Crew Member Roles and Duties:

1st Mate

The first mate on a pirate ship is the man the Captain picks as his second in command. In the event the Captain is killed the job falls to the quartermaster. Some ships also had second, third, even forth mates creating a chain of command. Some pirate ship crews had this position as the captain's right-hand man and the one who would assume his role if he were killed in battle or could no longer perform his duties. This was often considered the job of a lieutenant in a regular navy, and on most pirate ships the quartermaster and First Mate were often the same person.

Quartermaster

The quartermaster is next in line after the captain in exercising authority over the crew. His authority on the ship takes up where the captain’s leaves off. Whenever the ship is not in chase or battle, the quartermaster makes most of the decisions regarding the day-to-day ship activities.
The Quartermasters main purpose was the distribution of things. He distributed rations, powder, work, prize, and punishment. Pirates didn't trust authority and therefore saw no reason to let all the power of a ship rest on one man. Therefore they split the power between the Captain, who led the ship in battle and navigated the ship, and the Quartermaster, who usually led the way on any boarding party, and kept custody of all prize or booty. As expected all gold, silver, or coin was taken, but beyond that, it was the quartermaster who decided what else was worth taking. He made his decisions based on time and on how much room the ship had. If the ship was already cramped, spices and exotic materials may be burned rather that stolen.

During the Golden Age of Piracy, most British and Anglo-American pirates delegated unusual amounts of authority to the Quartermaster who became almost the Captain's equal. The Captain retained unlimited authority during battle, but otherwise he was subject to the Quartermaster in many routine matters. The Quartermaster was sometimes elected by the crew to represent their interests and he received an extra share of the booty when it was divided. Above all, he protected the Seaman against each other by maintaining order, settling quarrels, and distributing food and other essentials.

The quartermaster also watched over the treasure until it was divided among the crew. The quartermaster who did the dividing, with the crew's supervision, and there was rarely a dispute about how the loot was divided. The quartermaster also settled individual quarrels and if need be, acted as a witness to any duels, to insure that duels were fair and just.

Serious crimes were tried by a jury of the crew, but the Quartermaster could punish minor offenses. Only he could flog a seaman after a vote from the Crew. The Quartermaster usually kept the records and account books for the ship. He also took part in all battles and often led the attacks by the boarding parties. If the pirates were successful, he decided what plunder to take. If the pirates decide to keep a captured ship, the Quartermaster often took over as the Captain of that ship.

Boatswain / Bos'n / Bosun

This position may be compared to the modern chief petty officer. The Boatswain supervised the maintenance of the vessel and its supply stores. He was responsible for inspecting the ship and it's sails and rigging each morning, and reporting their state to the captain. The Boatswain was also in charge of all deck activities, including weighing and dropping anchor, and the handling of the sails. A ship of any size would require the boatswain to oversee several junior officers who would share his responsibility for the crew's morale and work efficiency as well as the maintenance and repair of the hull, rigging, lines, cables, sails, and anchors.
Bosun's Mate

A Note on Mates:

On a large ship there was usually more than one Mate aboard. The Mate served as apprentice to the Ship's Master, Boatswain, Carpenter and/or Gunner. He took care of the fitting out of the vessel, and examined whether it was sufficiently provided with ropes, pulleys, sails, and all the other rigging that was necessary for the voyage. The Mate took care of hoisting the anchor, and during a voyage he checked the tackle once a day. If he observed anything amiss, he would report it to the ship's Master. Arriving at a port, the mate caused the cables and anchors to be repaired, and took care of the management of the sails, yards and mooring of the ship.

Ship Master / Sailing Master

This is the officer who is in charge of navigation and the sailing of the ship. He directs the course and looks after the maps and instruments necessary for navigation. Since the charts are often inaccurate or nonexistent, his job is a difficult one. It is said that a good navigator is worth his weight in gold. He is perhaps the most valued person aboard a ship other than the captain because so much depended upon his skill. Many Sailing Masters are forced into pirate service.

Master Carpenter

A person in this apprenticed trade worked under the direction of the ship's Master and/or Boatswain using their skill to not only repair battle damage to masts, yards, hatches, and the hull, but to keep the ship's leaky seams in check with wooden plugs and oakum fibers. He would often have separate quarters combined with a workspace. Each carpenter would usually have an assistant in apprenticeship. There could probably be no more highly regarded artisan in a pirate ship crew when your life and livelihood depended on the soundness of the wood around and beneath you.

Carpenter's Mate
See "A note on Mates" above.

Master Gunner

The Master Gunner is responsible for the ship's guns and ammunition. This includes sifting the powder to keep it dry and prevent it from separating, insuring the cannon balls were kept free of rust, and all weapons were kept in good repair. A knowledgeable Gunner is essential to the crew's safety and effective use of their weapons.

Gunners

A gunner would be the leader of any separate group manning the artillery. His special skill would be in aiming, but he would oversee the four to six men required to take the gun through the steps of loading, aiming, firing, resetting, and swabbing for the next load. He would also work to ensure the gun crew's safety in avoiding dangerous overheating or excessive recoiling of the weapon. A master gunner would help to coordinate the timing and accuracy of the individual crews, especially when a broadside was ordered.

Sailmakers

In charge of maintaining all of the fabrics and canvases of the ship. Sails, Flags, hammocks, etc.

Surgeon

Another highly valued position, surgeons would often be grabbed from crews of captured ships, although they would not be ordinarily be asked to sign the articles. He would be expected to deal with colds, fevers, or sexual diseases with an assortment of mercurial medicines or other current treatments, and the carnage of battle often required amputations in hopes of saving the wounded. In the lack of a surgeon, a carpenter or even a cook would be asked to fill in. A carpenter would be certain to have the similar tools and cutting experience, but a cook as a surgeon would be quite a stretch.

Cook

More often than not, a cook would be a disabled pirate who was allowed to stay on ship if he could make food that didn't kill crewmembers. Perhaps it was felt that if a pirate crew survived his cooking, he could make something to help heal as a stand-in surgeon.

Cooper

If a pirate captain was fortunate enough to have a prosperous career, perhaps he could afford the services of a cooper, a barrel maker. Most everything not in a crate or canvas bag was in a barrel. Using steel hoops and strong wood, the cooper would make containers to keep gunpowder dry, food free of pests, and water and spirits from leaking into the bilge. With a changing environment and the constant shifting of the cargo, the hoops and staves of the barrels required constant upkeep to remain intact and tight.

Musicians

Those who could play drums, bagpipes, trumpets, accordions, fiddles, and other instruments were so well liked that they escaped torture if captured by pirates. With entertainment at a premium on most uneventful days at sea, they would be expected to play a jig to dance to, lead a shanty for work tempo, or provide dinner music. Musicians would usually play prior to and during a battle, blaring out martial tunes, nautical favorites, or simple loud noise to inspire the crew.

Able Seamen

The common sailor, which was the backbone of the ship, needed to know the rigging and the sails. As well as how to steer the ship and applying it to the purposes of navigation. He needed to know how to read the skies, weather, winds and most importantly the moods of his commanders.

Striker

Often overlooked, the Striker was a native of the West Indies , typically from Darien or the Mosquito Coast . They were expert hunters who trapped sea turtles and manatees; fished for sharks and other large fish; and also hunted wild game when the crew came ashore. Their knowledge of local plants aided in collecting edible fruits and vegetables as well as medicinal plants and herbs. Their expert ability at hunting and fishing earned them a spot among the crew, Their hatred of Spain assured their loyalty and ferocity in battle. They were not kept aboard for their seamanship, their job was to catch fish and kill Spaniards.

Cabin Boys/Girls

The cabin boy is typically a young boy of privileged birth who is sent to sea to learn the maritime trade. Typically the cabin boy waits upon the officers of the ship. In some instances he may act as the Captain's servant. The cabin boy will run messages and errands for the officers, prepare their uniforms, perhaps even fetch their dinners. Because he is an apprentice of sorts, he is also expected to learn all aspects of the maritime trade. The cabin boy works long hard hours. Even on pirate ships, the captain might employ a young energetic fellow as a cabin boy.

Powder Monkeys

Many powder monkeys were probably pressed into service, being kidnapped by press gangs and forced to serve aboard ship. Often the powder monkeys were young lads no more than eleven to thirteen years old. They mainly assisted the gun crews and learned most of the ships basics but were paid little (if anything), treated poorly, and were expendable. If they managed to live a few years, they might eventually make it to a position of more importance on the ship. Often, due to their harsh life, powder monkeys were quick to sign articles and desert a ship. On a pirate ship, new comers would serve the function of powder monkeys.

Swab/Swabbie

Generally the crew member that mops the decks with swabs.

Name: Law Schemizer

Date of Birth: March 9th

Age: Just turned 19

Gender: Male

Personality: He's a little lazy sometimes, but he manages to get his simple work done, though his captain would see to it that he is always multitasking. When he's focused on something, it isnt hard for him to be side tracked by something else. He's know for calling some of the crew members "mangly eels" which is his way of insulting someone with a supposedly profane name. He hates his job. But since its something that doesnt require that much work at times, except when murky water and dirt gets onto the decks of the ship, he deals with it. Even so, he has a taste for adventure.

What ship are you apart of (Snap Fortuna, Mangy Cutlass, Festering Rover)?: Snap Fortuna

Are You A Graceling or anywhere near becoming one?: At the moment, he's recovering from the Gracing Scurvy, which means he ended up surviving it. Him and two others.
^^
If so, what are some hints of your ability/power?: He noticed that now that he's recovering, small sparks of red flames appear over his head for a slight second.
^^
Have you been through the Plank Trial yet?: No, he hasnt been through the trial, but will after he fully recovers.

Crew Member Occupation: Swabbie

Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: A dreary green
Weight: 177 lbs
Height: 6 ft

How and at what age did you become a pirate?: He was first captured against his will at age 12, and made a powder monkey. He hated every last bit of it. The salty sea air, having to work against his will, being around half drunken sobs. But as he grew older, his feeling for adventure grew greatly, and he became interested in the entire concept of being a pirate. It became his new life. Everything was always exciting, and he had become close with his King Captain.

Extra?: Lets just say he loves the taste of rum, and can hold his own if challenged to a drink off.

How and at what age did you become a pirate?: She was the illegitamate daughter of the original surgeon. ((Okay then cool ^_^ Oh, and if you want, you can make female or male King Captain for one of the other ships.))

Name: Kaptain Mehoy¡ ((And yes, that is name, with a "K"))

Date of Birth: Somewhere in May

Age: 689

Gender: Male

Personality: He's more of a charming and adventurous fellow, but also oddly serious all the time. Like a happy serious if that makes since. He believes in putting faith in the hands of the seas when tough storms pass through and he's always mellow and calm. He would mostly like be caught staring out at the sky while a cool sea breeze is blowing pass. He has never been full on angry with any of his crew members, and one of his most critical lessons that he is known for teaching his Discipline. He always looking forward to the next adventure that lies around every corner, and leads his ship and crew through each treacherous challenge, not believing that finding the most sacred and legendary treasure is the point, but the journey across the seas and the adventures they have is the most important part.

What ship are you a captain of?(This is if you want to create an extra ship/captain king, and ask me to do so): He's captain of the Snap Fortuna.

What is your Graceful Scurvy?: Jack Pot Cutting. Which means that his blade can become harder and sharper than the surface it hits in order to cut through it. In other turns, the ability to cut through almost anything. This actually goes for any cutting object that he holds.

---*A Brief Description*---
Believe it or not, Kaptain Mehoy¡ wasnt always one to be so calm and mellow. He was usually the one with the shortest fuse as a young king. His name before becoming a pirate was Xaviar Welfhone. He was introduce to pirates when the former King Captain Mehoy¡ Took him away from land by basically kidnapping him. Only after a few years of being at see with the former King Captain Mehoy¡ and his crew, he found that the sea had calmed his arrogant ways and changed him. The smell and feeling of being on the salty sea relaxed him greatly and he became mellow. He got the Graceful Scurvy a few days after getting this explanation from the former Mehoy¡ Unlike any other time this occurs, there was only two that got this disease. Him, and someone he had grown very close to besides the captain. Only he survived it and lived on afterwards. When he was made to do the Plank Trial, he passed the first test of course, but failed the second one. At the end, he ended up passing the third one as well, which impressed the former King Captain. After the former Mehoy¡ died, he took over his place as the 4th King Captain Mehoy¡ of the Snap Fprtuna.

--*Physical Description*--

He's actually 6'2'', which is reasonable since almost all of the former King Captains of the Snapshot have been relatively tall. He long, wavy like brown hair, and daring hazel eyes.

Gender: female

Personality: to develop

What ship are you a captain of?: Festering Rover

What is your Graceful Scurvy?: She can manipulate the blood in a person to make their body do as she pleases

---*A Brief Description*---
Ember's real name was Nozomi (which means Hope) Hamasaki. She was to be the heir of her kingdom's throne, being the eldest child and all that. She was bored with the duties of the court though, and waht finally pushed her over the edge was an alliance marriage. Or one that was supposed to take place at least. She ran, not ever looking back. When she was 17 she was found by the current captain of the Festering Rover. He took her in, was going to use her for his pleasure and then dispose of her, but she showed him what she was made of, and what she could do if she put her mind to it. By the time she was 20 he finally named her successor. Three days later they both caught scurvy, the captain died, but Ember survived and when she recovered she became captain, after completing the plank trial. She has been the ruthless captain ever since, though some dare say she may be getting soft.

She obviously looks a little more pirate-esque, but she does have the tattoos

What is your Graceful Scurvy?: Phoenix Physiology (link)
-All except the actual ability to change into the bird

---*A Brief Description*---
His real name is Zafir Hale. He was the prince of a large and powerful kingdom, but not the heir to the throne. In fact he was the youngest of five brothers and sisters. He hated it, and had no duties that would keep him interested. So he went out to discover the world, sneaking onto the first ship he could find. A ship that just so happened to be the Mangy Cutless. It took him a long time to work his way up through the ranks. He did every disgusting, dirty, and hard job there was, and only then did he start to earn the trust of the captain. He had been a laid back kid, but after many years he was hardened and turned cruel.

How and at what age did you become a pirate?: For him, it was pretty simple in his mind. He had decided to join a group of bandit pirates at first. But that ship was blown to bits by cannon fire, and he was just left in the sea, floating on a thick piece of wood. This happened at the age of 10. Then at last, he was found by the crew members of the Mangy Cutlass. At first, he was put in the position of Assistant Swabbie, which really couldnt be counted as a position at all. But when an angry storm raged across the seas, he ended up being the one who navigated and steered the ship out of harms way. And from there, he was the Mangy Cutlass's new Ship Master, while the other one was basically threw over board.

Extra?: Though he is stuck to his one main job, he also knows how to operate cannons and is very specific on the measurements and calculations of firing them.

How and at what age did you become a pirate?: She was born homeless, her mother dying right after she was born. She made her way through life stealing, both on land, and then sneaking onto ships to steal while they were unloading or loading supplies. At age ten she accidentally snuck onto a pirate ship. She was lucky she wasn't found and managed to get off at the next port, but it was like some kind of pirate island or something. She ended up being hired on, on the Festering Rover and had to work her way up to get to where she is now.

As she grew up, she attempted to start a crew of her own, but failed numerous times, and resulted to thieving from pirate ships that she could get on to and escaping without a scratch. That was until she tried to steal treasure from the Festering Rover that is. She was not only caught, but caught by the KING CAPTAIN herself. Luckily, she was given a chance at redemption, and ended up growing close to the Captain as she spent the rest of her years aboard the Festering Rover as the 1st Mate, striving to meet her captain's standards.

((Alrighty then guys, i'll start things off.))

The moon showed the sparkles of its light through the loops of the clouds in the night skies. The sea's water was sparkling dimly as small shiny specs of rain droplets tapped against it and caused numerous ripples to form in a pattern that went from a small wave of ripples, to a larger wave of ripples. Tall, stiff rocks of land allowed a light and mysterious mist to rise from its surroundings and attempt to join its relative, yet foreign kind in the sky. A small, cool sea breeze blew through the large sails of the Snap Fortuna as they drifted along through the area known as the Crying Tides. This name was given to this specific area because when drops of rain landed on the surface of the sea, the shallow reflection made it seem as though the rain was coming from the sea itself instead of the sky. It was quiet a beautiful sight to sea, and it was one of the main reasons that the ship's King Captain, Kaptain Mehoy¡ had decided to have his crew venture into the area. So they could relax. He himself stood out on the mast of the ship, gazing out at the scene in a thought of awe. But this scene was also meant to ease the minds of the two crew members aboard that had caught and survived the Gracing Scurvy. They were just about done recovering, and were going to have to go through the Plank Trial. It was necessary, but that was something he didnt want to put them through. He hoped that both of them came out of the entire trial well and alive. He had pirates faith that they would. They were two strong willed individuals after all, though, one of them was a bit lazy minded at times. But if anything, they were both still children to him. Well, that went for mostly all his crew members, considering the fact that he was well over two hundred years old.

Below, down on the deck, a young man slouched around with half lazy intentions, carrying a bucket of murky and dirty water in his left hand, and holding the handle of a mop in his right. He sneezed slightly and gave a small yawn as he made his way across the deck of the Snap Fortuna, and over to the port ((the left side)) of the ship. This young man, was Law Schemizer. He was one of the unluckily lucky crew members who had came down with the Gracing Scurvy, along with only one other that had actually survived the experience, which was one of his closest pals aboard the ship, Echo Valdis. It had been a horrible few days barely being able to move a muscle, and having to be fed the majority of the time. During those few days, his teeth ached and he felt as if he was on fire, yet cold at the same time. His gums even began to rot! But some how, all of it just began to vanish. He celebrated his bitter survival by scarfing down a large mug of rum as soon as he was able to move. And now they were here.....drifted over the Crying Tides. He had to admit.....it was a sight to see. And a even better sight to go to sleep in. He sighed as he rung the mop out over the railing and emptied the bucket. He planned on taking a looong break afterwards, that is, if he didnt get caught by the captain first.
------------

Navigator of the Mangy Cutlass, Benito de Soto kept the ship steadied as they drifted over the waves of the salty sea. A wild storm had blew them off path in the Eye of Storms which was obviously a part of the sea that was known for its outrageous and treacherous storming tides. Actually, they had been stuck inside the Eye of Storms for 2 days, and he had finally found a way to escape what would probably had ended up as a dull fate in Davy Jones Locker. He let out a sigh of relief. His duties were both thrilling, and important. Which is why he enjoyed it so much. Last he checked, they were supposed to be heading towards the Isles of Uuses, in search of a island that was said to contain a goods worth of treasure. But now he had to find out what direction they had to sail in again. He flipped out a compass and the pointed pulled towards the eastern parts of the seas. Great. They'd be lucky if they didnt get sucked back into another storm of drowning waves. But in the name of all pirates, he wasnt going to let that happen again. His captain would get on to him if he did for being "careless".
------------

A great distance across the seas from the Snap Fortuna and Mangy Cutlass, a young woman by the name of Margret Silhouette, was aboard a ship known as the Festering Rover was getting onto the crew members sternly. For they had began to be attacked by cannon fire from another pirate ship. A much bigger one. And the crew just seemed to be....slouching. Until they heard the sound of her voice that is. "Well dont just stand halted there!! Man the cannons and fire in the hole! We will show no quarter to these hornswaggling bottom feeders!" As the rest of the crew began to scurry around to battle positions, she gave the command to raise the red flag, which signaled that no lives would be spared unless they decided to abandon ship now. "Pull to the side of the vessel! We shall board and put them to sea!" Being the 1st mate and the first graceling of the Mangy Cutlass was busy and sometimes frustrating work. But this was sort of everyday work for them, except they would probably be the ones raiding and attacking other pirate ships. She also sent one of the cabin boys with the task of getting to the captain of the Festering Rover and giving HER the situation. Margret for one, admired her captain. Not only was the captain of the Festering Rover one of the first few female King....or rather Queen Captains, but she was just....wow. To her atleast. She made her way over to the railing and prepared lines of tight rope that were attacked to a long foursided harpoon that would help her get across to board their attacker. Yep.....mainly everyday work.

((As for the picture below, that would be the Snap Fortuna and a image of their location at the moment :P))

((That's such a cool picture.))

Echo sat up on the railing o the ship, one leg dangling over the edge, the other on the side of safety. She had her eyes closed and head tilted up, enjoying a brief moment of peace as the refreshing rain came down. She had hate being sick, especially being the surgeon on board. Sure she had an apprentice of sorts, but when it came to her job she was a little bit of a control freak. She opened her eyes as she heard movement and smiled when she saw Law, tending to his duties, so glad that she wasn't in his position. Though he'd probabaly be able to sleep easy, whereas she had never slept well. She shifted so she could see their King Captain. She had always admired him, even when her port excuse of a father told her to keep her distance of their captain, she still couldn't help it. She retuned her attention to Law. "How have ya been holdin' up?" She asks him, loud enough so he could hear her because he doubted he even knew she was there.

**********

Ember sat in her Captain's quarters when the cabin boy came to tell her the situation. When he entered without knocking she tuned a withering glare to him and after some impatient coaxing she managed to get the news out o him before he ran off as fast as he could. After finishing why she wa working on she got up and went out on deck, immediately she looked to where the other ship was. I she really wanted he could take control of every man on that ship an make him kill himself in one way or another. She was in a bad enough mood that she seriously considered it. But it would leave her exhausted and the lack of energy would make her mood worse. Besides, it was more fun to be up in the face of her enemy as he was killed. She turned her steely glare to the business on her ship, her gaze landing first on her 1st mate and then on her Boatswain, before finally returning it to the enemy ship.

King Captain, Killian, walked over to his Navigator, he had just finished speaking with Ada, his quartermaster, and now he figured he would check in on Benito. "What news do you have for me? More storms? Did you find a path for us to take?" He asks, his voice neutral, though on the chilly side as it always was.

Ada watched silently from where she was perched. She could see both Killian and Bonito. She often wished she was a part of those talks or that she could be of more use. But she had o remind herself that keeping the crew in line was kind of important. Maybe she'd talk to Benito later though. She always enjoyed talking to him, even if it was on rare occasions.

••••••••••

Derek was among the crew, helping however he could. When the captain came out he gave her a suggestive wink when she looked at him and then got back to work. All it had probably earned him was a blank stare, a scowl, or if he was lucky a roll of the eyes. He just liked messing with her though. A dangerous game, sure, but he didn't care. He liked to mess with Margret too, but because she was around more he had to be a little more careful.

Law jumped at the sound of a familiar voice and nearly dropped both the mop and the bucket down into the see, but caught it just in time. "Oi!" he pulled himself up straight. He glanced at her before setting the bucket down along with the mop. "Ya could've atleast did me the favor of lettin me know you were there...." he scratched the back of his head. "I'm doing fine i'm guessin....atleast I ought to be. What about you? Almost recovered yet?" he asked as he leaned against the railing.
------

Margret paused slightly as she felt the eyes of the captain land on her. But then she quickly continued to do what she was doing. After tying a quick few knots in the rope, she grabbed the lengthy pole of the harpoon, pulled back her arm, and launched it into the air, and upwards at the larger ship. It seemed as if it wouldnt make it at first, but it went over the side and latched on to a sturdy surface. She gave two hard yanks to make sure it was good enough for her to climb before stepping on the railing of the Festering Rover and swinging out onto the rope as cannon fire set off from both sides. If they got through with this fast enough, they wouldnt have to worry about repairing to much damage. But just as she went to go board the enemy ship, their enemies began to make an attempt to do the same to them.
-----

Benito gave a nod. "Aye. We'd be further out away from the storms and heading east towards the isles. But encounters with more storming waves might occur as well. But no worries, i'll make sure that it be avoided as long as possible.

"Fare thee well, my lovely,
a thousand times adieu.
We are bound away from the Holy Ground
and the girls we love so true.
We'll sail the salt seas over
and we'll return once more,
And still I live in hope to see
the Holy Ground once more.

Oh now the storm is raging
and we are far from shore;
The poor old ship she's sinking fast
and the riggings they are tore.
The night is dark and dreary,
we can scarcely see the moon,
But still I live in hope to see
the Holy Ground once more.

It's now the storm is over
and we are safe on shore
We'll drink a toast to the Holy Ground
and the girls that we adore.
We'll drink strong ale and porter
and we'll make the taproom roar,
And when our money is all spent
we'll go to sea once more.
And still I live in hope to see
the Holy Ground once more."

Florica sang this simple ballad as she watched the men on board doing their specific duties, to be honest, sailing around wasn't so bad, but it wasn't that nice either, some of the people here isn't exactly the friendliest folks so she'd rather keep her distance. Florica leaned against the ledge with one hand holding onto the shroud, she looked out at the ocean and wondered what kind of creature will she be slaying on the second test.

Killian nodded. "Good. The sooner we get there the better." He says. "As you were then." He says turning around and walking up to the wheel, standing beside the helmsman. He stood with erect posture, his hands clasped behind his back. He found himself looking out over the water as Florica sang her song. He kept his features neutral, making sure no one could guess what he was thinking.

As soon as Killian left Ada moved over and stood near Benito, resting her arms on the railing. She moved with cat like grace, and she was light on her feet. Most just guessed it was from her days thieving on land. "He wasn't mad at you was he?" She asks him. Sure there was no yelling, but their captain rarely yelled, which in her opinion was even worse than yelling.

••••••••••

Derek raised his pistol and shot the first man who was trying to board their ship by way of the line Margret just cast. "Better get goin' darlin' before the next one comes." He says to her as more of their crew also cast lines to board the other ship. He planned on shooting any one who was a threat while his crew crossed before going over himself.

Echo couldn't help but to laugh a little. "Sorry." She looked down to her hands and then back to him. "I'm almost to tip top shape, have to be, being the only one here who can do a decent job patching you all up after all." She adds teasingly. She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees, still sitting on the railing. "It's beautiful tonight." She says after a minute. She loved it, couldn't get enough of it after being so sick. Raining or not, she wanted to be out as long as possible.
più di un anno fa Liquidz-Flamez said…
"Yeah....tis a beauty to lay eyes upon." Law said as he looked out at the moon. "Tis comforting to the mind, knowing what lucky upcomers are going to have to pass that Plank Trial." the word "lucky" was poked at with sarcasm. Truthfully, he would rather be thrown over board if it meant that he could just slouch around in the water. But then again, his pride as a pirate wouldnt allow that to happen. If it was one thing piratehood taught him to do, it was face challenges head on til the last breath. He didnt like it much, but hey, he couldnt complain. Atleast it wasnt boring. He glanced over at Echo. "You ready for it? The whole Plank Challenge thing?"
------

Benito gave a sigh and shook his head. "Who could tell? I'd say not if I was sure." he leaned his head against the wheel and closed his eyes for a moment. "If anything, hopefully he's grateful that we were finally able to part ways with those wretched storming waves." He lifted his head slightly. "And now, we'd be heading towards the isles. Another adventure awaits us. And treasures are to be found...."
---------

Margret scoffed at Derek before she started to climb across the rope to the other ship. But then the roped snapped from her side and she gasped as she went swinging off the ship. But instead of screaming and calling for help like a "lady" would do, she gave a thrilled laugh as she went swinging across the air, holding on tightly to the rope. As she neared the ship, she put her feet out and front of her, and landed on its side with a thud. She climbed quickly to the railing, and hopped on to see that most of their crew members were already engaged in sword fighting and gun shooting. She reached to her waist and pulled out a blade that was curved back at the tip. "On guard!" She yelled as she rushed towards the fighting. It started from 2, then 5, then 7. A total of 7 pirates that came at her, and 7 that were put down. He swiftness was quick enough to get passed the majority of their strikes at her. But as she turned around, one of the pirates on the opposing ship swung his blade in a downwards swiping motion at her head. It connected. But what you would normally expect, didnt happen. Instead of nearly slicing her head in halves, as the blade connected, she began to split down the middle in a somewhat melting motion until there ended up being two of her. The attacking blade went into the wooden flooring and got stuck. That was a close call for her though. Any later than that, and she would've been history. Her double sliced through the attacking pirates throat, wasting no time. "We should definitely be more careful, that was a close ca--AHH!!" she ducked as a sword went over her head.
The original Margret kicked the sword's wielder in the shin, causing him to nearly fall before stabbing her sword through his chest and pulling it out. "Yeah....we should definitely be more careful....." she repeated to her double and from there, they rushed into the thrill of battle. They would not disappoint their captain.
più di un anno fa fangfan7 said…
Ada just nodded. "I'm sure he is." she tore her gaze from the water to Benito. She wondered how stressful his job was for him. Even if he enjoyed it, most of their lives counted on him being accurate and correct. She then turned her gaze to the crew. As of this moment they were all doing what they needed to be, none acting disorderly, which made her job easier. Though is she was being honest, she didn't think her posistion was needed. She figured the crew would do as told out of respect, fear or both for their captain. "Are you excited to be going to the isles?" she asks him, resting her head on her hands in such a way that they were about even with how he had his own head. Hers was tilted slightly more though, like an animal would do when it was curious.

Killian stood silently in his quarters. Going over old and new charts, old maps, letters and anything else he had found to help him find the Isles. The trip was frustrating him, but he also knew it was well worth it. Part of his grace was retractable claws - though hedidn't understand how - and right now he raked them across his desk in frustration. He retracted them again, relishing the pain that came with it, if only for a moment, and then he exited his cabin, observing his crew as he went. He needed something to happen. He needed to fight an enemy or have one of his men betray him. The darker parts of his mind needed to kill someone. His better half though kept telling him to just calm down. As a result he climbed to a more elevated part of the ship and looked out over the sea.

Echo shrugged at his question. "I don't know. Part of me is terrified and part of me is thrilled." She looks to him and smiled a little. "I don't know if that makes me stupid, brave, or if I just have something downright wrong with me, but that's just how it is." she answers. She wasn't raised in a so called civilized home back on land, but her mother made sure she had the best education possible to a poor woman. The biggest result was the way she spoke though and even after all these years she still spoke more like a so called 'civilized' woman than a pirate, though she was staring to lose some of those habits. "What about you? Are you ready?" she asks him, well aware of his lazy habits, though she was sure he had to have a hidden store of motivation somewhere within him.
più di un anno fa Liquidz-Flamez said…
"Yep. Ready to go to sleep that is." Law answered. But then he gave a grin. The good side of things were that he would get a good thrill out of a few adventures. "Well of course I am. I'd be a pirate right? And the adventure would only go on!" he could feel a few rushes of excitement rush forth for a moment. But it all led back to laziness. "Especially the first challenge. I'll be somewhere quiet, a sleep my way through it if possible." he said while scratching the back of his head. Many of his crewmates had already been asking him what he thought about going through the Plank Trial and how he was going to do everything. He gave them the honest truth. He would sleep through the first test, and even through the second one if possible. But if he did make it to the final test of the Plank Trial.....then it wouldnt be a time to sleep at all. He would have to do all he could. "But i wouldnt be surprised if I end up in Davy's Locker after that...."
---------

Benito looked over at her. "Aye, but of course. The isles are said to be a place with a quite the sight to see. The sea itself is rumored to be the color of gold in that area. It'll be a place for sore eyes to look upon. Though there are legends that say that there is a large tentacled creature that lurks somewhere around those isles."

Law gave a smile. "I guess we will wont we.." he looked out at the supposedly wailing sea. The scene did in fact calm his mind. It gave him ways to think. But it couldnt hold back the much more daring aspects that the Plank Trial had to hold. The 2nd test would be the most specific. Slay a creature of the dark seas. Where would they end up going to do such a thing? The Dreading Davy? The Skeletal Isle? The Snark Bog Seas? It was to exciting and he was curious enough to have the slightest bit of enthusiasm about the experience. The only down side to this is that he could be A. Torn Apart and die, B. Torn apart and die slowly. Or C.Die while being torn apart.

She tenses up when she notices one of the men started to slack in his duties, she was about to yell out to him but then he resumed his duties. She assumed it was only because the Captain had recently gone to a place where he could easily see the whole crew. She didn't care, it made her job easier. She looked back to Benito for a moment and then looked down at her hands which were folded in front of her, resting on the railing.

************

Derek continued to shoot at the enemy as they started to come over to their ship, along with the half of the crew who had not borded the enemy ship.

Echo just smiled again and looked out over the water as she had been before. She wanted to sleep dearly, but she knew trying to sleep would be futile. And so she watched the water, it was relaxing, and she could allow her mind to just become blank.

*********

Ember watched the fighting from her place by the wheel. She had placed herself out in the open, where anyone could easily kill her if they tried.

Law closed his eyes for a moment. All of this time he was wasting talking, he could have been enjoying a nice nap. Slacking off. He turned and rested his arms against the railing and looked down at the water. "I have a feeling that this would turn out in our favor....." he sighed and knelt down and turned to sit down. He pushed the mop and bucket over to the side and out of his way. And it all started tomorrow......
-------

A pirate had managed to slip passed Margret and ended up at railing's of the larger ship. He hoisted up a cannon, lit the flame, and pointed it straight at Ember. A grin came across his face. "A King Captain'z about to have a drownin!! Fire in a'hole!!"

The two Margrets had just sliced down another attacker before they glanced back and saw that one of the pirate's were aiming a cannon at their ship, but little did they know, the cannon wasnt just aimed at their ship, but at their captain.
più di un anno fa BlackSparrow said…
Echo nodded. She hoped so. She looked to him as he sat down. She felt bad for taking his time, he looked tired.

**********

Ember was nod afraid, though maybe she should have been. She looked to the man aiming to hoot her with the canon, and then moved so she was facing him directly. The nice thing about her grace was that she could control people to do whatever she pleased. She could do it from this distance, but it would take a lot of energy. She raised her arms and in a series of elegant movements made the man stop moving, then turn to his crew, bringing the canon with him. It was a long process mostly because the canon was so heavy, but it was worth it. She smiled as she watched horror dawn on his face. She wouldn't make him shoot, too many of her own crew were on board, but there was no harm in scaring the man.
più di un anno fa Liquidz-Flamez said…
Law scratched his head and glanced up at her and caught her looking at him. He knew that look. "I'm not that tired...." he said, but yet, he yawned afterwards. "Lazy....not tired...." he corrected. It was nice to know that two of the tests they had to do were going to be done together under "rare" conditions. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at the floors.
------------

The Margrets had panicked slightly when they the pirate had turned around and pointed the cannon at his own crew. Seeing how stiff and slow his movements were, this had to be the works of Captain Paine. They split ways, but not to far off from each other. When they strayed to far from each other, it kind of made their movements stiffer, and gave them a bit dizziness. They sliced their way passed numbers of pirates, going for the anchors and the ship's steering wheel.
più di un anno fa BlackSparrow said…
Echo smiled again. She was hoping the first test would be easy. Scary maybe, but easy. She had noticed she could almost control water, or so she thought, but it was in no way useful to her since she didn't know how to use it. But maybe she could in the first one. If not she would have to in the second test, they didn't have a choice but to figure out what they could do and then use it in the second test. "Why do you think The Captain is letting us do the first two tests together? I mean, I'm greatful for it, but curious too." she says after a little while.

***********

Ember stayed where she was, her grip on the railing tightening as waves of dizziness hit her. She would not show weakness until all of her crew was back on board her ship though. It simply was not allowed that she be weak and she would have it no other way.
più di un anno fa fangfan7 said…
Derek had been making his way to shoot the man pointing the canon, but he stopped when he realized he didn't have to. He hated how Captain Paine stood out so open like that, like she had a death wish, but heaven forbid he say anything about it unless he wanted to be keelhauled. So instead he returned to his fighting, enjoying the adrenaline that rushed through him as he got to fight hand to hand when a few of the enemy made their way to the Festering Rover.
più di un anno fa Liquidz-Flamez said…
"Not the first two tests....but the LAST two tests...." Law corrected her. "And yeah.....I am a little curious about that to.....well, knowing the captain....he has a good reason for it...." he glanced over at her once more. "Any idea on what your Grace might be?" he asked.
----------

Benito shrugged. "Yeah, exciting. If we dont end up getting eaten or have our shipped wreck. If everything is done successfully, we'll have a lot of gold under our boots, and i'm sure the Captain would be pleased." he sighed. That was one thing that made being a pirate exciting, and damning all at once. You never knew what you were going to face next.
--------

The original Margret baseball slid and knocked a pirate's feet from under him. She manned the wheel of their ship and pushed with all her might to force it to turn. There was only so much she was able to do with it since the wind was blowing in the opposite direction. So since that was the case, the ship would have to attempt to turn with the waves. "C'mon!" The other Margret stabbed her blade through the stomach of a attacker before turning, ripping her blade out, and slicing him across the back. She looked around for the ship's captain. Had he already abandoned ship? Had he had cowered before them?
più di un anno fa BlackSparrow said…
Echo shrugged, she didn't know which tests it was. She also shrugged because she wasn't entirely sure about her grace. "Not exactly. But from...well various things, I think I have some kind of control over water." she smiled a little because that would be way cool. "What about you?" she asks him.
più di un anno fa fangfan7 said…
Ada nodded in agreement. As quartermaster she would be in charge of distributing and then keeping 'guard' over any treasure they found. But who knows, maybe on these Isles it wouldn't be like that.
più di un anno fa Liquidz-Flamez said…
Law furrowed his eyebrows. "I think i'm positive that mines is the exact opposite of yours. I think it might have something to do with fire....i keep feeling this fiery sensation at times.....I cant really explain it....it feels like i have some sort of excitement burning deep inside me....and not to mention this--" he dug around in his pockets and pulled out an old rusted flick up lighter. He flipped a few times before it actually lit. "Okay.....now watch this....." he moved his finger around the fire and the ember of fire seem to pull towards his finger until it actually ended up on his finger tip.
----------

Benito sighed once more. "None the less....it shall be an interesting experience for the mates and us...." He knew that Ada was in charge of distributing things among the crew as well. But something that put him aside from the other pirates is that he didnt have a share of any of the treasure. Not because things were unfair....it was because he just never wanted any. He saw his share of things as him continuing to be the navigator of the ship itself. That was enough for him. And it was like that since day one with him.
più di un anno fa BlackSparrow said…
Echo smiled. That was amazing. "Well, this could turn out very interesting for the two of us." is all she says. To be honest she wasn't sure how it would turn out. All she hoped was that it didn't destroy whatever friendship they had. Tomorrow. They would have to start the tests tomorrow. Her heart stsrted to race a little as her nerves grew. "I guess we'll see what we can really do soon enough." is all she says.
più di un anno fa fangfan7 said…
Ada nodded. She didn't say anything else though, she was content being silent, but she wasn't sure if her was. Then she noticed a fight starting to pick up. "Oi! What are ya bilge rats doing down there?!" she called out to them in a commanding voice one wouldn't expect to go with her. She looked to Benito apologetically. "Sorry." she says, turning and walking down to where the fight had been starting up. She had her hand on her sword, ready to use it if necessary. As she approached the men the circle that was starting to form parted and the two who were going to fight stopped and looked at her. If you didn't know any better it may have been a comical scene. The two men were both tall and muscular and easily three times the size of Ada, and yet they acted like little boys who were being scolded by their mother. When Ada had first arrived on the ship she didn't have any of the mens' respect. But she showed them very quickly that you didn't mess with her, and it was part of why the Captain had made her quartermaster.

((I don't really know what else to do with her right now))

Law gave a nod and was silent for a moment. But then he looked up at her. "Hey....remember that no matter how this turns out, we'll still be pirates, and we'll still be friends." he said as he began to think about it. Usually the few that were left after the sickness hit and passed had to end up competing against each other. And that eventually destroyed them. He looked back down to the floor as the fire on his finger tip disappeared, and he put the lighter back into his pocket.
-------

(Avast! The Mangy Cutlass approaches a creature of the sea!)

Benito chuckled. You wouldnt expect the commanding role to come from someone like Ada, considering the fact that she was quiet sometimes. Not really the talkative type. But she played her role perfectly. He felt an enormous wave hit the ship, and it surprised him. It wasnt that he wasnt use to it or anything, but...they were in almost calm waters at the moment, and the wind was channeling enough energy to keep them moving. So with that said.....only one explanation sat tall. "KRACKEN!!!" he yelled as he steered the ship east before another crash hit the ship.
più di un anno fa BlackSparrow said…
Echo nodded. She trusted him. She was also ready though. Who knew how this would turn out. It could go any number of ways and she was trying to keep her mind open to any of them.
più di un anno fa fangfan7 said…
Ada was nearly knocked off her feet, but she caught herself against the railing. She looked up to where Benito was when he shouted that dreadful word and then couldn't help but look over the edge of the ship. "Get to your positions! Prepare for anything!" she called out, pulling out her sword as the men ran to do as she ordered. She moved about, doing anything she could to help.

Killian walked up on deck from where he had disapeared to down below deck. He calmly walked up to Benito as the men ran about, each carrying out his own job. "What's going on?" he asks, his tone never wavering or showing anything but calmness.

Not long after Ada walked up to where she saw their Captain talking to Benito. She needed to see what the captain wanted her to do.

***********

Derek stopped, killing the last man who had boarded their ship and looked around. Something seemed...off. He looked to the other ship and saw Margret looking around. Then he looked up to Captain Paine, trying to see if he could read anything from her expression. But of course he couldn't. He kept looking around, trying to figure out what was amiss.

"It be a Kracken!" Benito answered while trying to steer the ship in a opposite direction. It wouldnt be any use since the damned creature would probably just follow them and attack again, but it would buy them enough time. But it was nearly to late for that. Large tentacles came from the sea and surrounded the ship as they began to attack and snatch crew members down into the water.
--------

Marget became one again with her twin. She looked back and seen that Derek noticed something as well. "I dont see their captain anywhere aboard the ship!" she looked around and saw that their crew members were already raiding the ship and taking gold, supplies, and barrels of whisky and rum. She walked around and ran her hand across the railing slowly and closed her eyes for a moment. She felt something shiver slightly and her eyes popped open. "Get off the ship! Pick the pace under you boots you sea dogs!" she commanded. She rushed to the railing and yelled down to Captain Paine. "Captain! The ship's captain has a Grace! The captain is the ship itse--Woah!!" she exclaimed as the railing peeled back and wrapped around her. It through her back into a stack of large barrels and they fell on to of her. Luckily, they were empty.
------

Law was about to say something, when the cabin boy popped up out of no where.

"Uh...um...Law...sir...and Echo...erm...the captain would like to see you both in his quarters..."

Law felt his heart beat jump for a minute. "Aye....we'll see to it then." What did Kaptain Mehoy¡ want with them already? It couldnt be anything bad could it? Or.....he knew that he was slacking off again....the possibilities were endless. He looked over at Echo. "Shall we then?"
più di un anno fa BlackSparrow said…
Echo nodded tensely. Her heart had seemed to stop for a second when the cabin boy said the captain wanted them. She wondered what it was about. It was too early to start the trials wasn't it? She got up to follow Law to the Captain's quarters. She was anxious, wondering what he might want, and kept telling herself that it was probably nothing.

******

Ember narrowed her eyes, watching the enemy ship. She watched as her crew started to come back over and then walked down to where they had boarded the other ship at the beginning. She debated going over herself, and then decided against it. That may not have been the best idea. She looked around for Margret, wondering if she was okay. She was still alive, if she concentrated, Ember could still sense her blood flowing. "You there! Help Margret!" she called out to one of her men still on the enemy ship.
più di un anno fa fangfan7 said…
Killian's expression stayed relatively calm as he began to bark out orders. "Load the cannons, shoot at the tentacles!" He called out. He turned back to Benito and Ada. "Keep the ship so we're headed away." He says to Benito. "Ada go below deck to make sure they're keeping their heads about them and relay the orders I just gave. Go!" Ada nods and runs below deck. The captain stays up near Benito where he could see most of his crew and ship better.
più di un anno fa Liquidz-Flamez said…
Benito followed his orders, but was sent flying into the railing of the ship as a heavy jerk connected with it and their ship began to tip over. He didnt have time to take in the feeling of pain. Adrenaline kicked in and the only thing that went through his mind, was keeping the ship in enough condition for them to sail. A tentacle reached for him, but one of the crew members managed to fire a cannon and blast it to pieces. Another tentacle went for Captain Krillian. "Captain! Look out!"
----------

Margret groaned as he pushed the barrel's off of her, only to see the boards of the ship peeling up and turning a cannon towards her. She quickly rolled out of the way and to her feet as the cannon fired. She jumped out of the way just in time. She felt something shift, and then it hit her. The ship was moving. She reached for a sword on instinct as the railing whipped at her, and found that she didnt have it. She had no choice but to evade. "Damn!" she muttered to herself repeatedly. Where had she dropped it? And how did she allow herself to be caught in a situation like this? A piece of the flooring ripped up behind her and she almost her balance as the entire deck of the ship opened up. She struggled to balance herself on one foot, but began to fall backwards.

Law had gotten to the Captain's Quarters in no time at all. He saw that the door was already open and the entrance was awaiting them. He looked over at Echo and put his hand on his shoulder. "Lets just hope its something we want to hear...." he said before walking in.

Kaptain Mehoy¡ was sitting with his elbows on his desk, in a relaxing train of thoughts. He stared into the flame of a lit candle that sat in the middle of his desk, along with a few maps and letters. He glanced up when he saw Law enter first. "Ah....the both of you are here...." he spoke in his usual relaxed and soothed voice. In a way, it was tipped slightly towards the lazy side as well.

Echo was right behind him as she walked in. Hearing his voice made it a little better, partly because he was so calm sounding. "Um, pardon the question, but what is this about?" She asks bluntly.
più di un anno fa Liquidz-Flamez said…
Kaptain Mehoy¡ gave a smile. "Always the one to jump straight into the ocean." he said before giving a sigh. "Lets start with tomorrow. You both know that you'll be trialed tomorrow, correct?"

Law froze for a moment and gave a stiff nod. "Yes sir Captain." he answered.

"And are you sure that you both are prepared?" Kaptain Mehoy¡ asked.

Law paused for a moment, and glanced at Echo. "Yes sir....yes sir we are." he answered again.

Kaptain Mehoy¡ showed a hint of a smile and turned around in his chair so they wouldnt see. His captain's hat tipped over his eyes.

Law scratched his head. There was a question on the top of his mind that he had been wondering about. "Captain....may I have permission to ask a question?"

"Ask away." Kaptain Mehoy¡ answered freely. He always answered that way. He was never the type of pirate that took power to the extremes and used it to control. He found over the years that it was better to be relaxed.

"Why...why do you want Echo and I to be doing the last two tests together?" Law asked.

This question sparked Kaptain Mehoy¡'s interest. He had been waiting for one of them to ask. He turned around in his chair. "Two heads are better than one correct? And I figured that you would need someone to keep you from slacking off."

"Hey....." Law said lazily. He shrugged. "I dont do it THAT much....do I?" he looked over at Echo.

Kaptain Mehoy¡ gave a laugh. But then came the seriousness. He looked from Law, to Echo. Though he was relaxed, his eyes were sharp and intense. "You two....remind me of two former crew members I had long ago...." he began. "You two...have a certain spark. Just like those former crew members. They also had to take the trial." his calm voice saddened slightly. "And me...I made a mistake...." he shook his head slowly. "You two....I WANT you two to survive. Both of you."

Law was slightly surprised by that. He was just a swabbie after all. He could easily be replaced. But there was something he saw in the captain. And there was definitely something the captain saw in them.

"The both of you have that courage and adventurous sides of yourselves. And as your King Captain, I'm telling you both that I have faith in the both of you. And there would be no point in losing either one of you. And by what i've observed, you two are opposites. One fire....one water. And you know what they say, opposites attract right?" Kaptain Mehoy¡ said with a grin.

"Captain!" Law exclaimed with a very slight blush. But he also felt a strong spark of confidence. He believed in them. He had faith in them. That was all he needed to hear. But what got him the most, is he said that he didnt want either of them to...die. For a moment, he felt that the three of them had a understanding.

((I just want to say that as I'm deciding to respond to this my teacher just announced that we're going to read and annotate the poem you have in the description.))

Echo blushed at the captain's last words but didn't say anything against it. She was also proud and had much more confidence. If he wanted them to live too then she had a good feeling they were going to do just fine. She wanted to say something more, but couldn't organize her thoughts enough to say anything more. "Thank you Captain." She finally says
