^^^^^^^^^^

It was a clear December morning, not a doubting shout in sight, the grounds were slightly frosted, and the houses already covered in lights--
The spirit of Christmas was on every street, even though it was not yet here,
But the children were still overjoyed that it was getting near.....
It seems that's how it should of been....in the town called Evernear.
--Instead--
Almost constant storms of snow rain down from above, and if you ever need to go outside, dont forget 3 pairs of gloves.
There is no turtle doves here, nor are there any french hens,
No calling birds, to flap there wings in the wind.
There are no golden rings, or any geese a laying,
Nor are were there ever a partridge in a pear tree, to show that Christmas was about to begin.
There were no swans swimming, for they had all been long dead,
They were all replaced by snow ogres and ice golems instead.
No maids a milking, for most of the cows are gone, no ladies dancing,
For all there was to do at times, was run.
There were no lords a leaping, because the lords had partially blotted the sun,
The pipers were never piping, or drummers drumming, because they had reduced to none.
Evernear, oh Evernear, forever cold and cursed-
And everyday is Christmas, yes Christmas in reverse.
Snowmen are snowmonsters, and the month December is always the worst
Bodies lay in sunders, and blood coats the snow.
Will sunshine and normal days ever return to Evernear....the answer is no.
You may ask why, what was such a curse for?
It was caused by people....not closing the goddamn door.

((Just thought i'd bring a little holiday joy XP "Joy" my ass. Not here.))

--Description: It all started....30 years ago--

Evernear, A very unusual town. Its freezing cold, full of snow, and crawling with horrifyingly dangerous creatures. The town of Evernear wasnt always like this. 30 years ago, things were how they were suppose to be. Normal. Not having constant snow. Not having ice golems crushing people, or snow ogres tearing flesh from people's bodies and devouring them. Or abnormally sized bats that feed on flesh. 30 years ago, things were happy when holidays came, and everyday was just another day of life. Until Christmas Eve that is. There was an old lady. A grump of an old lady at that, who wasnt all she appeared to be. Under her skin, she was a witch of holidays and observances in disguise. Now see, in Evernear, they had different ways of doing things, and very strict rules that were almost ritual like. For example, on Thanksgiving, they had to stab a live turkey 3 times and remove the heart, as well as burn it to have pity on the turkey before making it a part of their thanksgiving meal. On Valentines Day, everyone had to light 2 red candles in their houses for love. On Saint Patrick's Day, everyone was suppose to nail a green cloth to their door for luck. On Saint Nicholas Day, everyone was meant to give something to atleast one person, for generosity. For if they didnt, by belief, they thought something horrible would happen, which was in fact, true.

And on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the people of Evernear had to do one very simple thing. Something so simple, that it shouldnt of been a problem just to do it. All they had to do, was shut the doors to their home at 2:00 p.m. and not leave their homes to go anywhere, until 2:15. This was to ward off any evil that would ruin the joy of Christmas, and to show respect to the death of a child, who was killed on the day of Christmas years before. The child, belonged to the witch of holidays and observances. This was the most important ritual to follow. But on the day of Eve of Christmas...someone hadnt shown abidance to that ritual. One man caused it all. An outsider, and a nonbeliever. In fact, he hadnt participated in any of the holiday rituals of Evernear and thought of them, nonsense and foolishness. He didnt shut his door on Christmas Eve. Nor did he stay inside his home. He wanted to show the people of Evernear that their rituals were silly, and fictional. He even went as far as to disrespect the story of Christmas Eve. But slowly, some of the people of Evernear began to follow his lead after thinking that nothing seemed to be happening. They opened their doors to look out at the falling snow. To see if what they were seeing was true. As the word began to spread, more people opened their doors. But that...was more than a grave mistake. The witch of holidays and observances became enraged. When 2:15 struck on that fateful Christmas Eve, she appeared before the people of Evernear, and cursed them with an eternal Christmas. You would think that would sound sort of...well....awesome. But this was not a...happy sort of Christmas. Instead, it was reversed and twisted. She cursed them with creatures of snow that lust for blood, light, but dangerous storms of snow that almost were constant. Different sorts of creatures were here and there. The pureness of the snow was stained by the blood of many that day as the creatures of the curse broke into houses and began their slaughter. But not all met such a fate. The ones that stayed, and stuck to the ritual, had been safe. The creatures couldnt get into their homes. It was as if a barrier stopped them from entering, though they tried. It was then that those who opened their doors would be punished the worst. Not only were they unsafe in their homes, but anyone who came from their line of blood were also unsafe. Thus, the people of Evernear were put into the categories of the Jinxed, and the Extricated. And so it has been that way....for 30 years. No one has benable to leave. And every December, it only became worse. The creatures only became more savage. Unaware outsiders that came to check on relatives that lived there ended up being stuck there as well.

Now in the present time, all the people of Evernear can do is survive. The onslaught only continues. And this was all because one man....one outsider.,...decided not to close the goddamn door....

Creatures to be Seen/Encountered:

Snow Ogres: These creatures arent exactly what they are called. Where, they are, but they're not actually made of snow. Or very nice. The snow ogres are pale grey, somewhat muscular creatures that are much taller than a human being, and have strength to match their appearance. But they are also very fast and aggressive. These creatures usually scavenge in notably large hordes that have 10 to 20 of them, and some packs can even grow larger than that. Though they are large and menacing, they are extremely idiotic, and have terrible eye sight and sense of smell, but keen hearing. So when they are around or you find yourself surrounded by these creatures, be extremely quiet.
^
Weaknesses: Though they are very savage and dangerous creatures to deal with, their skin is extremely soft on the outside, but their bones are more than tough. Their lack of common sense and terrible vision and smell could be used against them.
Tips: The material that their bones are made of maybe unknown, but they can be useful for making weaponry or materials such as arrow heads or forged into machetes.

Ice Golems: Ice Golems are generally very large, statue like beings that really pay humans little to no attention. Instead, they are more interested in feeding from the snow. After all, it is where they originate from. These golems also strangely have what appears to be a scarf of icy blue fur around their neck area. Though they are large, they are few in numbers, and liable to rampage in the presence of any sort of fire.
^
Weaknesses: FIre is their main weakness, but also a trigger to their rampages, which could get someone in a horrible situation. If you manage to set it ablaze, it will melt slowly, but reform due to all of the snow and ice.

Chiroptera Banshees: Chiropteras are large flying one eyed bat like creatures that are most likely sleeping somewhere most of the time during the day. When they are awake however, they travel around Evernear in search of food. When traveling in groups, they can tear a human being apart just as fast as a piranha can. They feed in frenzies. They are known to let out loud screeching noises that are liable to attract other Chirptera's that are near by, as well as Snow Ogres, which oddly, hunt and eat them when they cant find food.
^
Weaknesses: Their one eyed vision is keen, but they are only able to see what's in front of them. So if you're spotted, get out of their sight. Though they do travel in groups, they are most likely to split up in groups.
Tips: Stay out of sight. If they screech and you are unable to get out of their sight, then find a hiding place under something.

Fat Joe Whoppers (FJWs): Fat Joe Whoppers are big, fat snow ogres who tend to eat alot, hence, its name and size. Sometimes they are even liable to eat other ogres when hungry enough. Unlike normal ogres, these FJWs carry around large clubs and if your on the other end of it when they swing it, lets just say you might as well say your prayers because Ogre Strength + Swinging Something + Hitting You= You're Dead. There tends to be one or two that lumber around with average ogres and seem to be somewhat a commander. Their thick blubbery fat makes it nearly impossible for bullets or arrows to pierce through its body. Be advised, they have muffin tops. (Lmao! XD)
^
Weaknesses: Like the average Snow Ogres, their vision and smell are horrible. Not only that, but their size causes them to move at a sluggishly slow pace, though they do have small sudden bursts of speed that last for about 3 seconds. They also become tired very fast.
Tips: When facing these slobbish monsters, the easiest and wisest way to take them out or stop them is their legs, for they are the weakest part of FJWs.

Hooga Hounds: Hoogu hounds are usually led by FJWs, or even eaten. The name comes from the muttering not understandable sound that the FJW makes when commanding, which sounds like their saying Hoogu. These hounds are very skinny and frail looking, so their savagery is from lack of food. Their spines and ribcages are noticeable. These hounds' sense of smell is used to find food for the ogres, but there arent many of them. Their skin seems to be frostbitten all over, and they are extremely agile. Their long and slimy tongues are constantly hanging from the sides of their mouths, which makes them look goofy in a horrific way.
^
Weaknesses: A Hooga Hound's entire body is its weakness. Its skin is tough, but its bones are extremely frail. Their showing ribcages can be used as bullseye points and could kill them instantly if stabbed or shot in that area.
Tips: If your out in the cold and cant hold your piss, DO NOT go to the bathroom outside. One whiff, and the hounds could track you for days.

Mock Walkers: Mock Walkers are one of the seemingly more intelligent, deceiving creatures that were conjured up from the snow. Most are about the size of humans, if not a ft or so taller. These creatures are known to walk with a dragging leg, and that is for almost all of them. One of their arms, whether its the right of left one, has a build in spiked club like weapon that extends from a little above the elbow, all the way down. Their name was given to them because of their ability to seemingly "mock" the sounds of humans and even give fake calls for help. They can also mock someones pace of walking. Once they are able to capture an unlucky person, it starts off as one, before others end up surrounding and from there, they tear their victims apart. But strangely, they have no teeth. They feed from the pores in their skin which allows them to take blood into their bodies and give them a liquid meal. Which is why when they kill, they make a hell of a bloody mess.
^
Weaknesses: Their limping matter of movement slows them down greatly, giving time to escape. Their head is a weak point, so go for it. A very useful weakness is that they have somewhat of a temper. When you mock their mocking, they began to have tantrums and attack wildly. This could even cause it to attack a fellow Mock Walker. But be warned, this does not work all the time.
Tip: When a Mock Walker swings its spike club arm, its swings with a great force, and when it misses its target, the weight of the arm causes it to stagger off balance, which would give you a very slim amount of time to find an escape route or counter attack before they regain sense of balance. Also if you go into a jog, and you hear something struggling to match your pace, then its probably one of these things.

((I give half credit of this creature to kittyluv57 XD. Though her name for it was, and I quote "A POLAR BEAR WOLF WITH THREE HEADS AND THE HORNS OF A BULL"))
Tri-Ursidae Canis- The Ursidae Canis is a extremely RED ZONE dangerous creature. With the slim body of a wolf, and three heads of what seems to be a polar bear, this creature is something you dont want to come in contact with. This creature has no fur, and instead has lumpy and frost bitten flesh. On the far left and right head, there are long curved, horns that are made of a thick ice and relatively similar to a bull. The head that rests in the middle is the smallest. What makes these creatures even more dangerous is their unpredictable actions. These are not calm creatures at all. They're quick bursts of speed makes it almost impossible to escape them unless you climb something, which will only help for a moment of time. Luckily encounters with this beast is rare, unless you venture near the outlines of the city.
^
Weaknesses: Though the Tri-Ursidae Canis is in fact a extremely dangerous creature, it does have weaknesses. The two heads that hold the separate horns are mentally stupefied, while the middle head holds the most intellectual instinct. Since this is so, this sometimes cause conflict between the three heads and eventually leads to its own injury all together. You may also have a chance to outsmart the two dumber heads and maybe escape.
Tips: There are no tips. Only RUN LIKE A MOTHER FUCKER AND HOPE THAT THIS CREATURE HURTS ITSELF!!

Frost-Bite Lacertila- The Frost-Bite Lacertilas are another RED ZONE dangerous creature. The term lacertila is actually the scientific name for the word "lizard".This lizard creature is covered in frozen blue sharp scales that are able extend and be used as a very deadly weapon. The scales give them a more menacing, dragon like appearance, and are hard to miss since they are the size of a nearly mature elk. It is equipped with 12 rows curved razor sharp jagged knife ice sickle teeth, meant for specifically tearing. And what makes these creature even more dangerous is their saliva, not their bite. The saliva of these creatures is so cold that if even the smallest hint of it gets on skin, it begans to give it instantaneous frost bite that spreads over like a disease. This could cause an extremely painful burning sensation if it spreads. They are known to spit this saliva onto prey and it eventually paralyzes the prey so that the Lacerfila can have its meal. These creatures also have a pair of very small wings that have little to no use. Those wings are actually the wings of a smaller, scaleless version that lives right under the spine of this creature. When it sheds its skin, it sheds its menacing appearance as well and reverts to the much more smaller form that is approximately the size of an adult chihuahua and lacks scales, leaving them much more vulnerable. These creatures are the only ones out of all the others that can reproduce asexually, or better yet, reproduce period. But their rate of growth is extremely fast. Overall, these creatures are large, quick moving and vicious. They are usually found near sources of frozen water. Snow is not one of these sources.
^
Weaknesses: These creatures have a noticeably large lump that covers its spine. Inside that lump is the smaller and more vulnerable version of the Lacertila. If hit with a hard enough force, or pierced, it could have a chance of killing the smaller version, thus ending the larger version as well. A hot enough flame can also scare it off, and even harm it.
Tips: If some of its saliva gets on your skin, be prepared for hell. Since this sort of frostbite is not exactly like normal frost bite, it can be cured. -----> Find a hot enough source of heat and place the effected skin or body part IN or ON it. You wont feel the heat from the heat source, but it would be wise if you wait until you do. That would be a sign that the heat source is doing its job and it will eventually rid you of that frostbite problem.

--To be noted in case you're wondering about the whole "Jinxed or Extricated" part, the Jinxed are the ones who arent safe even in their homes, where else the Extricated are safe inside their homes because of the barrier. In other words, the Jinxed are the one's who came outside on Christmas Eve 30 years ago, and the jinxing goes into the blood line as well.--
