Aki smiled and kissed him. "I love you so much."

Thomas opened his eyes and glanced at his son. "You're safe now...both of you..."

"Love you more!" Arein kissed her head. "C'mon you two let's go."
Arci and Austin nodded.
All 3 walked out.
Sora walked back in, inhaler in hand. "C'mon Shana. Let's go check on my parents... Then we'll head home.." He led Shana out after waving.

Xander crawled into his lap and snuggled against him. "Dada!" He giggled.

Daisuke grabbed Aki's hand and walked her out.
Shana happily followed.
Zayne stood up. "Then let's also get going."
Ryosuke nodded.

Thomas smiled slightly and glanced at his future wife. "Are you okay?"

Tailah sighed. "My head hurts.. Carry me.." She whined.

Kiriei looked away and nodded.

Zayne chuckled and picked her up like a princess. "Even though I don't see how your head hurting has anything to do with your ability to walk. I'll carry you for as long as you want."

"Why aren't you looking at me?" Thomas asked.

"Because the pain meds are waring off. And it's brain splitting pain which makes me very dizzy.." Tailah rested her head against his chest.
"Yup.. " Theresa leaned against the bed."Oh God.. Definitely feel that.."

"Because I'll just break down into tears... " Kiriei whispered.

Ryosuke picked her up like a princess as well. "Let's get going then."
"Or maybe they should get more pain meds before we leave." Zayne offered.

Thomas frowned. "Why?"

"I just want my bed, and my man laying next to me..." Tailah replied.

"Because I yelled at you and made you leave us.. Just because I was angry and sad. And tired!" Kiriei covered her face.

Zayne smiled. "Alright but don't complain about your head later on."

"You didn't make me leave. I needed to keep you safe." Thomas replied.

"OK.." Tailah replied.

"Leaving me after I yelled at you and told you to go back to work... Is keeping me safe. If anything it kills me. All the stress and no sleep.. I just want my fiance to come home with us! I just want to wake up to you beside me... I want you.. " Kiriei cries.

Zayne nodded and led them all out.

Thomas sighed. That's still bothering her... "But I was only doing what you wanted. I want you too but you have to stop confusing me like this. You tell me to go but you want me stay. I don't know what to do."

Kiriei looked down. "I'm sorry my love.."

"Just tell me...what do you want? What you truely want?" Thomas asked.

"I want you. I want you to act like the dad you are. I want you to at least once, offer to go to Xander. Let me sleep.. Act more like a father and act like a fiance at the same time.." Kiriei replied.

Thomas closed his eyes and nodded. "Okay..."

Kiriei sighed and looked down.

"I promise to be the man you need and deserve." Thomas stated.

Kiriei looked up and smiled. "Good. I'm holding that against you." She crawled over and kissed his cheek.

Thomas smiled slightly. "Yeah...I know you will."

"Time to go home. Hopefully it's not completely destroyed.." Kiriei replied.

Thomas picked up their son as he stood up slowly. "Yeah...lets go."

Kiriei stood as well.

Thomas led them home.

Kiriei looked at the house. "Oh yay! It's safe!!"
Xander clapped.

Thomas nodded as he unlocked the door and opened it. "Coast is clear. We are safe."

"Well yeah. My nephew and his friends saved the world.." Kiriei replied.

Thomas nodded. "They sure did..." He walked inside.

Kiriei walked upstairs and back down. "It's clear up there too. I'll put Xander down for his nap."

Thomas slowly gave Xander to her.

Kiriei smiled and walked upstairs, setting Xander in his crib. "No worries baby.. You're safe..." She kissed his head and walked out, shutting his door quietly. She walked downstairs again. "Man.. He's a exhausted little baby."

"Anyone would be exhausted after the day we all had." Thomas said and collapsed on the couch.

"Especially you. If you're going to go to bed. Go upstairs." Kiriei replied. "Or at least lemme do this." She pulled the couch out and made it a bed. "There you go."

Thomas stood up. "No, no. I'll go upstairs." He slowly walked up the stairs.

"My love. You shouldn't be using the stairs in your state..." Kiriei replied chasing after him.

Thomas still forced himself all the way. "I'll be fine. Just...need to lay down for a bit..."

Kiriei sighed. "At least let me help you. Don't be so stubborn." She helped him sit down.

Thomas chuckled slightly before lying back as soon as he sat down. "Can't help it sometimes...I don't like it when Im so weak in front of you..."

"But that isn't your fault." Kiriei laid beside him. "It's just because you were protecting us..
And I love you for that."

Thomas nodded slightly. "Yeah...I'm glad you're both safe..."

Kiriei smiled and kissed his nose.

Thomas smiled.

"Now get some sleep." Kiriei stood up.

Thomas closed his eyes and instantly fell asleep.

Kiriei turned the fan on before laying next to him, covering them up. She kissed his head and closed her eyes

(Time skip! A month later)
The world was getting itself together after the invasion and things were slowly going back to normal.
Aki and Arein sat in front of her parents, getting ready to tell them the important news.
Miki tilted her head to the side. "So what is it that you wanted to talk to us about?"
Aki kept looking down and fiddling with her hands. "W-Well...you see um..."

Arein sighed. "Aki is.. Pregnant."
Russell's eyes widened. "With your child.. I'm hoping."
Arein nodded.
Russell blinked. "Wow... Congratulations you two!"

Miki gasped. "Oh my goodness! Is it true? Is it really true? Is our little angel growing up and having angels of her own? So soon?"
Aki glanced up and smiled slightly. "Yeah...."
Miki grabbed her husband and shook him while still looking at Aki. "Our baby is growing up so fast!"
"Mom..." Aki started.

Russell held her shoulders and stepped back. "Please don't remind me..."

Miki looked at Arein. "You'll take care of our little angel and her...little angel right?" Tears appeared in the corner of her eyes. "You'll be there for her when she needs you right?"

Arein smiled and nodded. "I promise. I'll be right beside her. Which reminds me.. I feel like it's respectful to ask you as her parents. I don't know how to ask this.. But.." Arein took a deep breath. "Jeff bought me a separate house and I'm going to pay half the rent.. May Aki move in with me? I wish to be by her side all the time.."
Russell smiled as tears filled his eyes. "If she wants to.. You have our blessing.."
