Well, IQ tests are meant to measure your intelligence, though I'd say that they probably don't do this very accuratley as I took the test a while fa ad it gave me a bad score yet at school I'm the secondo cleverest in my class and I'm working at a higher level than my own age, so I think IQ test are a bunch of crap really. (not just because I got a low score but also because it's impossible to measure intelligence.)

I hope te know that hard work means a lot, too. You're IQ score was probably right. te probably don't have as much inherent academic ability as people who scored higher, te just work hard. And how te can call yourself the "second cleverest" that surely, I don't know. I'm certain that te can't be certain about that.

Most people who are brilliant, though, tend to have no social skills. Like Stephen Hawking...

IQ is only one level of intelligence. There are many levels, on which te can base intelligence. Another important one is EQ, whicbh measures how well te can use your intelligence and explain certain pieces of information to someone of almost any age. Plus, there are other factors that come into intelligence: general skills/things te are good at, general knowledge, language/linguistics, memory, your particular way of learning information (kinetic, visual, memory etc), strada, via skills, common sense and theoretical.

Oh and plus practical skills, like using your hands and theoretical knowledge to complete a task, for instance, mechanics, engineering, building, carpentry, metal-working/welding etc.

Wooow....okay. So, where to begin...? EQ is alright, if te have a low IQ. It can help te have the same chances as someone with a high IQ, da making te mimic the IQ. Basically, te can convince people that te are better than te are. And many of the things te mentioned are completely dependent on IQ (theoretical grasp of ANYTHING, theory in general, engineering, memory, visual learning, common sense, language, well-roundedness, etc...)

When people say that it doesn't really say anything about your intelligence, they probably scored low on an IQ test.
IQ does say A LOT. It tells your inherent academic ability, your capacity for learning, your memory, and your academic creativity and problem solving skills.
One of the main reasons that people don't believe IQ to be important is because many people with high IQ's tend to be lazier. They tend to think that since they are smarter than most people, that they don't have to work as hard. This can sometimes make them come across as unintelligent, rude, and may even affect their grades.
Also, people with high IQ's tend to be night owls, which affects how they function during the day. They also tend to be più socially awkward, because they think differently than people with average IQ's. They have trouble understanding how other humans think.
People with high IQ's are also much più likely to experience depression and self-mutilation. This could either come with their natural curiosity, o with their inability to understand the functioning of a normal human's mind.
BUT, even with these downsides, people with high IQ's don't have to work as hard in school to do better than most people, and they have very good memories. They also have the capacity to understand things and concepts that people with lower IQ's could not understand, no matter how much studying they put into it (EX, abstract algebra, graph theory, etc.)
People with higher IQ's are also better at solving problems, and tend to be più open-minded, and secure in their beliefs.
