Talking it out with the person is definitely a good thing to do before deciding on a secondo chance.

secondo chances really depend on the situation and people involved. It's hard to say if a secondo chance is wasting time o not if te don't know the situation.

Yes, if that person apoligizes for somethiing he did then it gives the person to explain himself.
usually i only give certain people one chance but that depends how rude they are to me.
