Of course! In black and white movies, people showed più expression while recitazione and the plots surely were più interesting than all those boring and repetitive plots there are nowadays.
Yes, of course! Not only does black and white allow più interesting and unique cinematography (hello, expressionism!), what with the shadows and the interplay of light and dark, Film were just made better back then. Actors had talent instead of just being pretty faces, writers were più creative because they had to work around production codes (even though I HATE the Hayes Production Code, it did make the Scrivere in Film much più subtle because the writers had to make everything oblique) and great directors made many great Film per year. Yes, there are a lot of really bad B&W movies, just as there are a lot of really bad color movies, but I've always had a soft spot in my cuore for B&W. It's so much più mysterious and intriguing than color, just as the night is than the day!
