In Alaska, there are white Lupi the size of bears called Waheelas. But they're very dangerous ( tending to kill whoever enters their teritory and eat their heads)

Wendigo :D I really like Vampiri#From Dracula to Buffy... and all creatures of the night in between. and Hellhounds, but they're always mentioned so I choose the Wendigo. The legends says that humans could turn into a Wendigo if they resorted to cannibalism o if they get possessed da the spirit of a Wendigo.

I guess it's a good choice. Most sirene are shapeshifters that can create legs for themselves and go on land (but getting married is a bad idea, because your children will have webbed feet)
