Why does everyone hate on Nickelback?

I'm not a fan of them but I think they are pretty good. Everyone is always making jokes about them and I don't understand why. I really don't see what's wrong with them.

Maybe it's for the same reason that people hate on Justin Beiber, Hannah Montana, o Lady Gaga. They're all popolare bands/singers, and people get mad when their own preferito bands aren't as popular.
