Is it legal to write on fanfiction a real brand?

Don't quote me on this, but I imagine it's fine as long as te don't profit from the fanfiction.

I guess it is fine, unless you're profiting off it. I tend to use mainly IRl brands in my RPs that I do. I, neither the particpants, have gotten in trouble for it. And I tend to use some in my other articles.

Just don't try to profit off it.

Chances are, your fanfiction isn't going to have a far enough reach for this to be an issue.

I think using a brand name in a work of fiction technically counts as fair use, though, and cartoons/anime change them just to be safe.



All in all I wouldn't worry about it.
