That particular drive. Sexual need, arousal and the promise of bliss / fulfilment that comes from accomplishing the act of intercourse. One's libido. Something that comes completely naturally. An inbuild mechanism te could say. I consider myself Straight. I am attracted to Women. Thinking of contact with Men automaticallly repulses me. Pretty much, both Genders are like the poles of a Magnet for me. There might be aspects of other Males that I will point out, not because I feel drawn towards them but because I admire them as a fellow Member of the same Sex. I might make jokes of a più sexual nature concerning them but that always comes as a form of simply playing along. I do not harbor feelings / desires of that nature.
As a little kid, the concept of intercourse is completely alien. Growing up, te start to notice changes inside you. One of them is the need for mating. We are not different from Animals. Just like those, we thrive through reproduction. To ensure this comes to be, our organisms have been designed to act accordingly. Having no such need throughout one's entire Life could be considered an Anomaly. Hence why, compared to Heterosexuality, Asexuality finds itself in the minority just like Homosexuality and Bisexuality. Though the later two have più to do with what separates us from the rest of living organisms that surround us. We can make our choices. Choose to decline from the common norm and differentiate with a variety of lifestyles. For better o worse, Humans are complex like that. Thinking about it, that is an Anomaly of its own in contrast to Nature. We use the logic we have been provided with to set standards. What we consider right and wrong and our very own preferences. Those are slowly being shaped da experiencing life. In the beginning, a person is devoid of everything. Akin to an empty cup. With time, this cup begins to fill. Various concepts will be instilled. People will eventually reach a point where they take into consideration each of their aspects and set them apart. Sort out things and make the necessary decisions. They possess now their own sense of self and the reality around them. Ideas, views, understanding of the World, etc.
