No, not all. And not to be rude but I dislike the term "homophobic" when people keep overusing it so much like they do. I mean, "phobia" is meant to state what you're actually AFRAID of. But not everyone you call homophobic is "afraid" of them.

Some of those alleged "homophobic's" are just people who simply disagree. Disagreeing with something doesn't mean "afraid of". Everyone, like you, has the right to opinions.

You want the truth? I am not afraid of them, nor do I hate them. I may not like it, per ce, but I cannot bark at them for this. It isn't my place to do so. But I do pray that they know true acceptance.

I'm a Christian. And while I don't exactly always agree with homosexuals, I and most certainly don't hate them, or ho against them, and I know that it's definitely not my place to run around shunning them and hating on them. We'll just say I'm neutral territory, and open to opinions, but we should find a way for everyone to be accepted. I also find it a bit arrogant to automatically assume that since a few Christians are against it, every Christian is against it. There has even been a parade held to support gay rights, at which a huge group of christians showed up with signs apologizing for shunning them in the church.

I've met plenty of Christians accepting of homosexuality.

One of my best friends lives in a hardcore Christian household; the type where she can't even watch Harry Potter because of the witchcraft involved, but she is absolutely find with homosexuals.

The way you worded the poll defeats its purpose. Obviously most people aren't going to generalize and say "all" Christians are homophobes.

And I must say, wow at all the cool/accepting Christians up in this post. This is kind of awesome, and it gives me hope for Christians since the ones I know are rude assholes when it comes to gay people.

I'm a Christian and I take serious offense to people who say Christians are homophobic. I respect homosexuals just like I respect everyone else.

Many tend to get the term confused. A person who is truly "homophobic" is someone who hates people for being homosexual, not just hating the nature of homosexuality. There are, of course, hypocritical Christians who do outright hate homosexuals themselves, but a true Christian will not harbor a grudging hatred toward an individual due to that, and believe it or not there are still true Christians out there.
