Okay serious answer,
y=3x² - 5x + 2
y'= 6x-5 (which is the tangent to the curve)
when x=17/12 , the gradient of the tangent is 3.5
when x=2, the gradient of the tangent is 7
so...I never get asked to work out the percentage of change, so not sure if this is right, but I think it's 50% because it went from 3.5 to 7 in gradient. (ie. 3.5/7*100= 50%)
I agree with Monrose, 42 all the way.
D= b2 - 4ag
D= (-5)2 – 4*3*2
D= 25-24
D=1
X1,2= -b +- D/2a
X1,2= 5 +- ½*3
X1,2= 5+-1/6
X1= 6/6=1
X2=4/6=2/3
And then you will do the same thing,but where the is the X you will put the numbers that you said.
If you the whole solution mail me.
