Hello fellow Saiunkoku fans!
As some people know, the series is made up of 3 components - the anime, the manga, and the light novels. The Anime and the manga have been subtitled/translated to English da some fan online, but the light novels have been basically ignored. Some fan have translated sections to English, but for the most part English translations haven't been done as much.
I've set up a support group for fan on Facebook who would like to see the light novels formally translated and published in English da a North American manga company. As I said, parts of the novels have been translated to English da fans, and they've also been translated to Chinese as well. But for people like myself who can't read either language (or at least not enough to read a novel), it doesn't do us any good.
Anyways, if anyone has a Facebook account and is interested in joining the group, here is the link: link
There's also an online petition linked in the group's discussion board, and I'm encouraging group members to take a moment and sign it. The idea is once there's enough signatures on the petition, we can take the petition to a North American manga company and ask them to consider translating the novels. te can view the petition in the group, o visit it here: link
