Selena Gomez Finally Spoke Up About Those Niall Horan Dating Rumors

Is Selena Gomez taking her Directioner status to all-new levels right now? Maybe so, but not in the way you think.

Sel has finally spoken up about those rumors that she and One Direction star Niall Horan are a thang at Friday (Dec. 11)’s Billboard’s 10th Annual Women in Music Event, telling ET Online, “Oh my god! No.”

She was quick to add, though, “I love him, I always have. He’s amazing.”

To borrow a phrase from a certain person of (probable) interest, “What Do U Mean”?

The Selena Gomez-Niall Horan hook-up supposedly started earlier this month when the two were spotted swapping saliva at Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s 35th birthday bash, and then they added some grease to the rumor mill when they hit the Santa Monica Pier together the next night.

But it sounds like, for now at least, Selena’s keeping Niall planted squarely in the friendzone.

In other news, Selena was honored at the Billboard event with the Chart-Topper prize and performed her newest hit “Same Old Love,” and she also addressed her recent troll takedown maneuver on Instagram — as a reminder, she responded to a commenter’s question by declaring “Yes, I f–king sing live.”

“I just felt like for me, I am in a place where it is my right to say something and defend myself, because I’m always kind, I’m always nice,” Selena told ET. “Every now and then I deserve to say what I feel.”

The Billboard event will be televised on Lifetime Friday, December 18 at 8 p.m. ET.
