we love him for who he is and how JK made him as a simple character of her book or maybe the hero. Jk writing an alternate ending? we have fanfiction.net for that. :)

Certainly not. She made him a character with so much depth and tragedy. Losing Lily was definitely a part of his colder exterior. I think he was a great character just the way he was.

This is strange, but i think he was never supposed to be happy. From the beginning (over his sad childhood to his love for lily) to his tragic end he simply was who he was. I always wanted news about snape, a book would be even better, and yet there is no way that he could or should end with lily. I think, she did not deserve him. She wanted potter and the story said that she was happy with him, even if i can not stand him. The whole series would have been different if snape and lily ended up together, maybe harry would not have been born. It could have been a snape and lily story. I don't like her either so i would have been glad to see snape with someone like hermione ;-) she is clever and does not really fit with ron, so it would have been a cute pairing.
