Trey had moved out by the time the magazine was on the stands, but all over america, little girls in their mothers’ pearls saw the picture and thought, “that’s what I want.”

I did find love. I believed there was someone out there for me and I met him finally. We had a beautiful wedding, and then everything just fell apart. And I’m worried. I’m afraid that he took away my ability to believe. And I hate him for that because I always believed before. And now I just feel…lost.

I think this even had a symbolic meaning. The so-called illusion of perfect relationships.

^Agree with Simrananime, I guess it really has influence on some people, especially young (little) girls, who dream about a relationship like from a magazine photos, while it's much more complicated in real life 🧡 But actually what I like about this scene is the feeling of relief like "finally she got rid of him", yep, it was hard for her, but the best was ahead ✨
