Have te ever had that friend who thinks they're like the best singer ever when they're just ok o even bad?

I have a few times actually. The first time I had a friend and I'm pretty she never hit a proper note once and stupid me tried to let her down gently before someone else pointed it out.
WORST IDEA EVER!
So after that I swore I would never bring it up just let the person figure it themselves o someone else go to hell for crushing their dreams, not me.
That was a while fa and I Lost confidence for a little and nobody at my high school new I could sing and another girl was getting all the credit for being the best singer at school but I sung for a friend and she filmed me on her phone and showed it to the "best singer" and told her I was better. And for the record she never told anyone the "best singer" is bad just that I'm better. So now the "best singer" is pissed that people think I'm better but this time I didn't do anything except be awesome. Have te had a similar experience?

Definitely. Most all of my Friends competed against each other so they could have the pride in feeling they were the best. Solo tryouts are always the worst because we're going against each other and that sometimes got ugly. Especially when my Friends found out I got the solo over them

Yep, I have had times like that. When I was in fourth grade, their was this girl who was auditioning for a talent mostra in my school and she claimed that she was an amazing singer. To be honest, the reason she did that was because her mom and dad were both super competitive and they basically kept pushing her to thinking she is an amazing singer. I heard her sing, and to be honest, she wasn't that good. She didn't know I could sing and that I was auditioning for the same talent show, but I didn't want to tell her that I was. When the giorno of the event came (I hid from her at the auditions) and she saw me sing, her jaw dropped after she heard me. I don't want to sound cocky, but after that she never bragged about her voice ever again.
