The wind howled at the windows of the orphanage, a small girl sat near it, watching outside as the rain pounded on the weak building, the aged place already having plenty of holes and wearing from years of nature's abuse.
The girl was a petite, faded cerulean blue topo, mouse with hair traveling down her back to her knees with eyes as black as coal, she seemed utterly depressed despite her young age of 7. Her mourning state matched how she dressed for an amateur's funeral, a long black dress that worked like a fontana dress, drenching her in dark satin.
"All must make sacrifices to live, yet the sacrifice is più like a double edged sword, harming both the sacrifice and it's wielder." a squeaky but monotone voice spoke, as the girl held onto a small black paper rose, the only thing left of the person she lost, was her twin sister that looked just like her. She had died due to the orphanage manager's abuse to her as well as her twin.
She had no place to go, o run. No family to hold her and reassure her that everything would be alright o if it was all a dream. o even whisk her away from the living nightmare that was a broken home. She walked out behind the orphanage, where an aged cemetery rested, and placed the paper rose on a small grave, 'Maria Lynn' etched into the marble along with the data of birth, as well as the giorno she died.
1989 - 1996. With the fake fiore set, she had slowly faded away, joining her sister, a mere memory of the past.
