So as many know, Identities are composed two simple things, Nanites and Chaos Energy (Captain Obvious is I). The Nanites act as the body structure, while the chaos energy is… the energy, o stamina if te will.
I’ll be explaining some stuff (some meaning a lot) about the Nanites and chaos energy as they interact with each other, but it won’t be a lista like I normally do, it will mostly be me just moving from topic to topic, as I segway from point to point.
So to start it off, what are the Nanites?
The Nanites are an almost metallic element which is twenty percent core energy, fifty percent stone, and thirty percent actual normal metal Nanites (normally steel).
The core energy is what pre-programs the Nanites to work in the first place, as through the core energy they connect to the soul of the identity itself.
The stone is honestly just there because it got caught in the explosion when the identities were first made, and therefore is a part of the Nanites, making them a bit stronger.
The steel is well, the Nanites themselves; the protection and body of each Nanite.
Now what is Chaos Energy?
I’m sure everyone already knows what Chaos Energy is to an extent. In short, it’s a never-ending pool of energy that can be channeled da certain individuals. And because of the original Virus being connected to this, the core-energy of the Nanites allows every identity to connect to this pool.
Now the Nanites are only there to compress and control the Chaos Energy, and therefore each identity can only have so much chaos energy in it without exploding o having its Nanites melt from the extreme power. This is why Identities can in a way run out of chaos energy.
Now da run out I mean “drained”. The Nanites are constantly reproducing, via chaos energy to re-create them, and the chaos energy never ends, so draining an identity entirely is extremely difficult. If te had an average level Identity (Lv. 5) blasting at a vacuum at full power, it would take around five minuti of shooting for it to completely run out of energy, give o take. But if te are able to drain it completely, it goes into a sort of hibernation, until it can re-connect with the chaos energy. The Identity is at its most vulnerable then, because it cannot regenerate it’s Nanites, o even move. It’s the closest thing identities have to sleeping.
So there’s a lot of ways to harm the Nanites, but there’s a lot of ways to improve them.
Identities can get stronger by…
• Making their Nanites denser. This usually comes from a frequent amount of extreme energy being shot at the Nanites of used on them for a long period of time until they can adapt, and therefore get stronger and contain più chaos energy.
• Memory. Identities have a difficult body-mind connection. They have to control their mind, the energy, and the Nanites. It’s hard. When a newly-born Identity comes into life, it usually starts off as a glomp of goo, until it can get strong enough to maintain a memorizes form, which is why Mobian-form-Identities sometimes don’t look completely normal, as they usually have to maintain più details, and easily forget certain ones. It’s all about remembering what something looked like and what shaped it.
Example
When an Identity starts off with its first weapon (an arm-canon being the most-likely), it will normally just be a tubed-hand with chaos energy shooting out, because it takes the Identity time to psychically bend every shape in its body to maintain that specific shape. Over time it will be able to remember more, and make più detailed shapes, starting from a tubed-arm, to a detailed gun-shaped hand with multiple colori and designs. Expert Identity-Crafters can create remote-control planes and detach them from their body for permanent use if they so desire. An example for that would be Kaiya, who can make specific daggers with unique explosions. te know that your identity character is detailed when they are able to connect to electronic devices with their Nanites without damaging themselves o the device. This is a very tricky technique, and easily failed due to fragile machines.
So going back to Chaos Energy, we know that Chaos Energy can harm Nanites, but can it harm itself? Well yes and no. Each Identity has a unique frequency that their chaos energy goes by, which is why when Identities use their will over other identities, o when tainting someone to their will, it’s specifically THEM that is controlling the other, and not every single other identity. This cannot be used to actually harm the chaos energy, but it can dispel it, and if done right can actually bounce other frequencies back, blocking the energy itself.
I’ll finish up with what happens with Three-moods o simply really powerful identities.
The chaos energy is much più powerful than the Nanites, and in most cases, if your identity gets a lot of it, the Nanites go bye-bye. If they go super-form, they lose their Nanites UNLESS their Nanites are dense enough to control the energy. Same with Three-mood forms. In most Three-mood cases, Identities burn their Nanites completely, and become bodies of chaos energy which can lead to three endings.
1. They die. Once they revert, they have no Nanites and therefore cannot sustain their energy, thus causing them to fade off and die.
2. They somehow re-create the Nanites, which again is extremely difficult, and requires extreme delicacy, as they have to make sure not to burn through any new Nanites they make.
3. They go Enerjak. Each Identity can go Enerjak, though they will not BE Enerjak itself, they will more-so be possessed in a way, just as Daricha Banshees are somewhat possessed da Daricha when enraged. When in Enerjak-form, they are bent to Enerjak’s ideals, which are unknown to an extent as the spirit has had multiple moral standards through the generations.
